She used the cup and poured water over the tops of her wings, and it trickled down her feathers. Once they were wet, she lathered her own hands with soap and gently massaged the wings from shaft to tip of the feathers to get out all the dirt. She applied pressure but not enough to hurt and re-soaped her hands several times to cover all the surface area.

She got the wings to be their normal cream color, as opposed to the dirty brown they had been. "I can help with the rest of you, if you want, but if you want to do the rest yourself that's okay too. I don't want you to be uncomfortable."

Aventine looked into the eyes of the little girl. Lundyn was powerful, she knew that.

"I think that in the right circumstances, anyone can be dangerous. You never know what might make a person so angry that they fight back at you, but we all have our breaking point. It's not necessarily a bad thing either. Elan's dangerous, and I'm dangerous, but that doesn't make us bad people. And because we're dangerous, we're able to protect the people we care about."
