"You're much more connected to them this time, I'd guess. Seeing as she's dead."

Really? Because he gives me exactly those controlly vibes.

"Yeah." He looked dismayed, even a bit ill.

What do you mean?

He seems the you-will-do-what-i-say type. The controlly type.

"You good?"

But what makes you feel that?

I... I'm not sure. Intuition?

1 minute ago, The Aspiring Archivist said:

"Not particularly. I didn't want any of this."

"Most don't. If you ever need help or need someone to talk to, though, I probably understand what you're going through better than most. I'm sorry this happened to you."

You remember Rue, right?

"What do you think I should do about it?"

Yeah?

"I would say first things first just learn to live with it. Then you can start figuring out how to get rid of it. And... treat yourself like a person, because on some level you still are."

She trusted him, and she doesn’t trust men lightly.

By the way, are the walking to the city at this point, or still just waiting in the ship? Either way, TAAron has been carrying Haly for a while now :P

"Should I be trying to hear them, or should I just keep the connections quiet?"

I... I suppose that's reason to trust him.

"That depends on your choice. You could hear them, just be someone who listens. Or you could act and really play into that 'god' role. Or you could leave them as just an afterthought, just let them live life normally. I'd say that's one part of godhood you do get to control, is how you use it."

She nodded. “If you do act, try to make it be what is best for those people.”

"I think I should probably just leave them be. Just because I have the powers of a god doesn't mean I'd make a good one to trillions of people. Being immortal doesn't change the fact that I've only lived for just over two decades."

Elan nodded. "That's a choice. Twenty years old isn't much for extreme wisdom."

He yawned. "I hope we can find somewhere to stay. Does anyone know if they like outlanders here?"

"No idea," Litika responded from a little ways ahead.

"The dude who summoned the transport was friendly enough, though his sisters seemed . . . less than friendly."

“We should probably stick together in case worse comes to worst.”

"True."

She slowed her pace until the others caught up.

"Seemed like y'all were having a private conversation, and I didn't want to intrude," she smiled.

She smiled again and nodded.

"TAAron said you came from a place called the Clinic? What is it?"

“All three of us came from there. It’s a rehabilitation center for book addicts, but it also serves as a place of refuge.”
