Hello, everyone!

Since the end of all tim- of the year is a few days away, I was wondering what peoples favorite books from this year have been? (definitely not performing a social experiment and/or getting reading suggestions for free... mwahaha)

I can start:

Tress of the Emerald Sea, Brando Sandyman.

Piranesi, Susanna Clarke.

Consolation of Philosophy, Boethius.

Murtagh, Christopher Paolini.

Odyssey, Homer.

Finally read all of the Chronicles of Narnia (C. S. Lewis) books this year. Those were definitely all up there.

Screwtape Letters, C. S. Lewis.

Oh cool, thank you, Treamayne. I am still new here and there is a lot of lore and just general things about the 17th shard, such as a reading recommendations forum, and I think there is some sort of intricate joke about... pineapples?

Yup, just what did you enjoy reading most this year?

Thanks for sending those, I don't think I have heard of any of them, I'll try to give some of them a look!

AFAIK, Pineapples started because of this "debate." With two effects - the spinoff for Pizza, and using pineapples as a reference to debates entirely about taste (meaning there is no "correct" answer - just a "correct-for-me" answer - which does nothing to quell the debates).

Reading is also discussed in this thread - but that is more about reviewing what you are currently reading, possibly asking questions - but does not imply that you recommend the books/stories for others. If you were unaware, you can search a single thread. So, for example, you can go into the "What are you reading" thread and use the search bar at the top to, for example, search "Lightbringer" to see what others have posted to that thread about the series to help you decide if you are considering trying it out.

I just recently read The Mythmakers, a graphic novel about the lives and friendship between C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien, and absolutely adored it.

Highly recommend. It's by an author named John Hendrix.
