TLDR: I think Braize is part of the Grand Apparatus.

As I understand from the WoBs, the Grand Apparatus is something Brandon is planning based around intentionally built planets with a specific purpose. The last time he mentioned it, it was in reference to Canticle, a planet which attracts investiture to its core.

In WaT, I seem to recall Tanavast saying that Braize is strange because it attracts investiture, and souls, towards its core, and that this is why the Oathpact binding Odium and the fused to Braize works.

Two planets with the same mysterious feature. Sounds to me like they are part of the same apparatus.

I don't think Braize is the grand apparatus as Honor finds the Rosharan system pretty quick and I don't think Invention would have a chance to create it. I totally had the same thought though and there was a lot of weird stuff going on this book that the other shards may have been involved in Fourth Moon etc.

Do we know Invention made it? What if Adonalsium did that, Futuresight revealing to it/him/her/them that it would be needed?

I find it especially relevant that on Canticle they worship Adonalsium instead of any shards or mythical gods. Plus, Zelion (the original lonestar of Canticle) had a Yolish name. Perhaps he thought of Canticle as a safe place because he knew Adonalsium had built it for some purpose.

We know that Invention has been going around making stuff and something called the Grand Apparatus gives me strong Invention vibes. Your right that it could be Adonalsium who made it. I think given the fact that we will see it later in the timeline makes it more likely that Invention made it.

It could also be that invention picked up what Adonalsium started
