"Yeah well, turns out improve skills in music don't translate to murder," He said with a chuckle.

"What's the plan?"

October just shrugged and opened the door, motioning for August and May to enter first.

Inside, January was standing by an open window, clutching the edge and leaning out. He cursed softly before whipping around as he noticed the door open. December was not there.

"Oh . . . October, you scared the crap out of me." He clutched his chest, looking out of breath.

He stared at her for a few seconds, hesitating.

". . . Well, I suppose I'm not really one to turn down a stupid idea, after tonight," He said quietly.

What about April/September?

"Right," October said flatly to January, "May told me you were with December, where is she?"

"The stress got to her, the poor thing, and she jumped," He said, gesturing at the window. "Isn't that a shame?"

August frowned, "That seems very unlike her."

"Well, she knew Father the longest, it only makes sense that she wouldn't feel herself after his murder," January said, closing the window and moving away from it.

April kept going until the lock popped open.

"Is it open?" September asked, hearing the small click.

"Do we have a plan from here, other then running?"

January glanced at her uneasily.

"It does seem unlikely that December would do that sort of thing," October finally admitted.

He took a step towards the window, but January blocked his way.

"Now Jan, if she really did jump then her body should be visible on the street below, shouldn't it?"

January paled, "Yes of course, but it's a really terrible bloody mess down there, I doubt you'd want to see that--"

"You think I'd be affected by a little gore? Me? The warmonger? honestly, you can be so irrational sometimes."

I have finals today so I'm not going to be on much... I have a presentation for Digital Art (and have to be respectful of others' presentations), a long Orchestra rehearsal, and a French test. I don't usually take a long time on French so once I finish that I should be able to get on, also lunch I can be on

Rye throws a thunder crash bomb at February, then runs over to Arke and pulls out a roll of bandages. He has no medical experience personally.

It wasn't super deep, but it was long, going from his shoulder to his middle back.

After following through on the move, clearly satisfied he'd finally gotten a hit in, February raised the blade to strike again.

February faltered, seeing the bomb, and dove out of the way as it exploded. It shook the whole room, tapestries on the walls fell and the chandelier in the ceiling rattle loudly, bits of glass breaking off and falling to the floor.

Groaning, he pulled himself up into a sitting position. He hadn't gotten out of the way soon enough to completely avoid the blast, and was left with minor burns on his arms, several bruises, and a few cuts from the glass.

"Should I wait here then?"

January looked even worse, "Really, there's no reason you'd need to--"

"There's no reason for to not look," October corrected. He shoved January aside, and stomped up to the window, opening it and looking down.

He nodded to himself, unsurprised. "Where did December really go?"

"Not die," September said quickly, "Which would involve running but . . . I suppose if we had your brothers with us, we'd have a higher chance of getting away un-scathed."

"Maybe," August replied, clearly only saying it to keep her hopes up.

"Or maybe," October said darkly, "Someone's going on a murder spree and they don't want us to know where they hid the body."

"W-what? That's ridiculous October, why would I do something like that at a time like this! And you know I'm smarter then to kill December first, if February found out . . ."

"--It'd ruin everything for you, I know." October grinned, "Shall I go tell him right now?"

"As if you're one to talk Ranyua," January spat at him.

August ignored the comment, "You're not in the clear just because you didn't kill her, idiot, she'll still find her way to February and tell him you held her captive--whatever hostage advantage you though you had is gone now."

"Both of you are going to find yourselves in a lockup after we find December," October grumbled. "What direction did she go in?"

January shrugged, "I didn't see, she ran when my back was turned."

"If she's smart she'll have gone back to the throne room, but something tells me it won't be that easy." He glanced at the other two men, thinking.

After several moments of silence, he finally decided what risk to take.

"May, could you take August right back to the throne room? I know I can trust you to look after him."

He let her lead the way.

The halls of the palace were dark now, and most were empty. A few servants scattered around here and there, going about their nightly routines as best they could, or at least finishing up before fleeing.

The door they had entered through was a back one, and dropped them directly into the palaces maze-like halls.
