I think there were 10 Gods, for each Surge, they were worshipped by Singers before Odium and Humans came to Roshar. Could sort of be both. I think the Unmade being the singer gods makes sense. This is from the Oathbringer prologue, Eshonai's POV: Quote That had been long ago. They were a fragment of a lost people. Traitors who had abandoned their gods to be free. Quote “Now, now,” he said. “I’m going to help you, Eshonai. Did you know, I’ve discovered how to bring your gods back?” No. She hummed to the Rhythm of the Terrors. No … “My ancestors,” he said, holding up the fabrial, “first learned how to hold a spren inside a gemstone. And with a very special gemstone, you can hold even a god.” Now I realize it could be that their gods are the Fused, but it would make sense for the Unmade too if you are right.

Yelig- Nar and Sia-Anat can be easily swaped, but I think Yelig- Nar matches Transformation beter. ... I think you have it backwards. The Magnified Ones, that use the surge of Progression (regrowth) simply change their own bodies, while the Fannahn-in, who use transformation, are capable of changing things outside of them, and even one case of unmaking outside Sja-anat with Raboniel. I am not sure how this would affect the nightwatcher's placement, but considering that Yelig-Nar made Amaram have massive crystal growths makes me think that it is similar to regrowth and how the magnified ones use it, while Sja-Anat is the surge of transformation for this chart, moreso than Yelig-Nar. Considering that Dalinar uses tension to stick things back together, perhaps this is better for someone like the Nightwatcher with their pacts and boons? However, considering the amorphous nature of The Old Magic™, the Nightwatcher might be best served left out of this chart. Adhesion is used by bondsmiths to create connections - perhaps this would align more with BAM?

Point is, Nightwatcher is refered as Mother by Cultivationspren, and they have direct relation to Lifespren (they both are Edgedacers Spren for Sword and Armor) and Lifespren are used to comend Regrowth in Singer Music Ritual. Also Rythm used here is directCultivation Rythm, also directly associated with Nightwatcher. Boon - Curse is something entierly different, what (I assume) Nightwatcher gain after she was changed directly by Cultivation - basicly unmade. About Connection - in my theory Every One of those Old Magic Godspren was able to form Conection to the singing Singers, but Ba- Ado- Mishram was able to make them stronger to the point of binding entire Race. Seems Tention to me. Adhesion is normally associated directly with Honor, so I dont think Odium will corrupt this spren, and also is associated with air and pressure - and Wind is both. 1
Dreamwa1ker she/her Posted September 22, 2024 Posted September 22, 2024 (edited) One more thing I started thinking about that I don't think is brought up here yet: glyphwards. Glyphwards seem like they might be something of the "old magic" so are they related to the Old Gods? They do seem to work a lot of times. And is the purpose of burning them to get them to disperse to the wind? Edited September 22, 2024 by Dreamwa1ker
