Yeah I feel ya, I think I had 5 total... british lit, american lit, AP Calc, AP Gov, and AP Chem. I was just somewhat clocked out, especially AP Chem xD So it didn't feel too stressful

Dats a lot of ap classes i would have a breakdown.

I've got Bio 1010, Eng 1010, Stats 1040, and AP Painting. Most of those I'm doing for a scholarship plus the early credits.

For sure, I thought Chaos was very scary when I first joined the Shard, but in reality he's super friendly. He's the only reason I passed AP Calculus when my teacher sucked xD

First 2 aren't AP, just college classes, so they weren't as stressful, and AP gov was insanely easy. AP Chem was rough though, definitely don't reccomend.

First 2 aren't AP, just college classes, so they weren't as stressful, and AP gov was insanely easy. AP Chem was rough though, definitely don't reccomend.

Fun fact, I'm not even the youngest person to ever become staff, that was David/Windrunner, who got made staff at age 16. (Also the age I got made a Keeper) xD

Well, AP exam statistics are very misleading because most of them are burnt out seniors, so don't worry about that 
And you don't have to take college classes in high school if you don't want to, a lot of people don't. It's just a bit handy to get a head start.

College isn't for everyone, and there are tons of other options to look into! Plus, getting into state and public schools isn't as hard as it used to be, I'd double check requirements for specific schools if you're interested.

Tbh it's really not as scary as it sounds. Some majors and career paths may be very difficult, like pre-med, but you can pick your major and classes to be something you're interested in and enjoy. Also getting to customize your schedule is so nice. Like I didn't have any classes on Tuesdays last year, and only one on Thursdays. 
Though I totally understand being apprehensive about it, and that's totally valid.

Yeah but all my friends are rlly smart, and everyone says im smart. But im not im just good at pretending to be smart, so i feel pressured to do those. Especially by my parents even though they dont see it, But they are all like “oh (my name) yeah she’s smart” im like nmo im not stop telling people that please. I feel like i need to be what everyone expects me to be but i cant, same thing with how i act. I think people expect me to take everything with a grin and jokes, which i can cause that’s how i do everything, but recent events make that really hard and i think everyone thinks i am gonna take it fjne but im not its really breaking me apart trying to keep up the happy attitude whilst hating everything i am barely hanging on to being able to keep up in school. I cant focus cause my emotions are everywhere. I’ve been told to just focus on the now but i really cant. My brain goes to the what ifs, what if we lose the house, what if my parents get into a custody battle, what if me and my sister fall apart during this. I cant and my escape is to come on here. It helps me focus a bit so i can listen while doing something. Im so stressed i cant sleep. Its a cycle, i dont sleep i get behind in school i stress out which makes me not sleep so on so forth. Its just weighing down on me so much and i dont really think i have anyone to tell when i do and its just…. UGH!

Also general note for you high schoolers but especially seniors: Knock out as many AP and college concurrent credits as you can, it's nice to have half your gen eds already taken care of freshman year

I'm all set to go this fall and only now am I second-guessing myself on whether I want to do a gap year or not . . .

I'm so sorry to hear that, it must be really difficult . I totally get the feeling of people saying your smart when you really don't want them to. Reaching out and communicating about it with your loved ones can help, but I don't know the exact situation.

Personally, I know it sounds silly but I recommend finding the way you learn best. I figured out that my brain does best with mimicry and step-by-step processes, and it's helped a little with the harder classes.
