At the Disco made a song in 2016 called Victorious. If you haven’t heard it before, Here’s the song. In my punky opinion, it is a great song. However, there’s something interesting about it. Is the song about Szeth on the night he killed Gavilar? There’s also many references to this being a party, especially one with lots of drinking, which is very relevant for old Dalinar: “Drink the water, drink the wine” “Champagne pouring over us” And even the whole idea of being victorious, with lines like “all my friends were glorious” fits with the fact that this was a party to celebrate the end of a war. So, is this song about Szeth? No. But will I think about him whenever I listen to it? Storms yes. 3

Could also be interpreted as the Surge of Division, which can cause black decaying effects.
Elder Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 Is Szeth that song? Or is that song him? with the exception of Nightbloood, most everything you talk about on Szeth’s side was written first.
