Random Bystander she/her Posted April 3, 2024 Posted April 3, 2024 3 minutes ago, Lunamor said: “Cool!” Jenny’s response would’ve been the same for any color. They were all pretty cool. She guessed orange was technically a warmer color, though. She was briefly distracted by this thought before remembering that she was supposed to be in a conversation. ”What’s your favorite animal? I like cats.” Quote That's... Fair, honestly. "I like crows! Toucans are my second favorite."

I'm not ignoring people, but there's not much point in making an active effort to interact." Edgar shrugged. It had taken a lot to get Terrance to talk to him, and he was still getting nowhere. He walked back to Jenny. @Lunamor

Oh, right. Elsie had already told her that. She’d even given a demonstration, briefly taming a raven that let Jenny pet it. ”I wonder how Dr. Doom is doing.”

"No, that's really interesting!" Crows were quickly becoming Jenny's second favorite animal. Holding funerals meant they had a deeper understanding of death than most other animals. Plus, Jenny just really liked funerals. Too bad cats tended to try to eat crows. "I hope to befriend a crow some day." They were one of the few types of animals that wasn't instinctively repulsed by her, probably because they were scavengers. Stumbling upon death was a good turn of fortune for them.

Ambrosia was a nifty way to tell exactly what your favorite food was if you were having trouble figuring that out. She'd certainly had enough of it recently to confirm her tastes.

Having run out of her standard set of questions, Jenny wasn't sure what to talk about. She needed more practice with having conversations, but that was hard when you were pretty terrible at maintaining them. She could talk with Ed just fine, but he was Ed. He was different from everyone else.

It's supposed to be a crow. It's hard to see the shapes of constellations, though. I just take astronomers' word for it." It looked a bit like a bird if she squinted. It wasn't like any other constellation was clearer, though. Vaguely bird shaped was probably the best one could do.

Jenny managed to hide her sadness at that; it wasn't like it was at all unexpected. She was supposed to be used to this sort of treatment, anyways. But somehow, after only a few days of having friends, she'd almost seemed to forget what it was like. Jenny refrained from looking at anything indicating how high they were getting. If she didn't see it, then she couldn't be freaked out by it.
