Roy’s speed triggered a sense of competitiveness in Jenny. Normally, she wouldn’t care much about something like eating speeds. But she couldn’t let Roy out-eat her. She doubled her efforts.

Soon, she began to feel like her stomach was going to explode, so she finally quit eating. Jenny echoed Edgar’s thanks and noted that the milkshakes were delicious.

roy keped eating long after edgar and jenny stoped. when he finally finished a lot of burgers and enough fries for a family of 5 (lift metabolism) he finished his milkshake and started filling his bag with take away bags filled with burgers and fries.

“Of course, we’d be happy too,” Edgar said. The request confused him though, all of the statues had afraid faces. Was that why she needed a reference, to do better?

Jenny immediately hopped up and skipped over to where she assumed they were supposed to stand. Maybe Auntie Em could teach her a few tricks about carving. It wasn’t quite the same as sculpting, but it was pretty close.

”May I have a copy of the photo?”

Edgar did as she asked, moving next to Roy, behind Jenny. Something felt wrong though, but he couldn’t place it.

Edgar shrugged, then reached up to pull Gift off. It latched tightly around his head, making it impossible to pull off. Edgar let his hand drop. Gift knew better than he did, the glasses were needed for some reason. “Sorry, I can’t.”

Aaron walks up the others, still wearing his glasses. I think she might be something more than a regular, run of the mill monster he thinks to himself. He has not talked to the others about his suspicions, as that might make the suspected monster angry.

He stands in front of Roy and Edgar, next to Jenny. I hate being short he thinks to himself.

Edgar’s vision went black. He was confused at first, but then he realized Gift had become completely opaque, blocking his vision. He didn’t know why, but there had to be a reason. Which meant…

He grabbed Jenny, tackling her to the ground. “Close your eyes, don’t open them. Something’s wrong.”

 Gift had warned him, he had acted. If he was wrong, he looked stupid. That was fine, because if he had needed to act like he had, then he had just saved Jenny’s life.

em cursed in greek as she threw back her veil. roy happened to blink and was tripped by edgar tacking jenny. roy saw out of the corner of his eyes that em had snakes for her hair.

Jenny shut her eyes, mildly dazed and very confused. She drew Sword and waved her free hand out in front of her to make sure she didn’t accidentally stab Edgar. Scrambling to her feet, she held out her dagger in a ready position towards where she thought Auntie Em was.

”What’s going on?!”

Was that hissing she heard? Realization struck Jenny like a cobra. The statues with scared faces, the veil, her name literally being the letter m. This was Medusa. She answered her own question.

”Medusa.”

Jenny prepared to dash towards the hissing sounds, wanting to get to Medusa before she had the chance to change position. She needed to do all she could to mitigate her lack of sight.

She was incredibly grateful that Edgar had tackled her- it could have gone very wrong very quickly had he not. Unfortunately, there was no time to check and see if anyone else had been turned to stone. There wasn’t anything she could do to help them if that was the case, anyways. 

She took the first step forwards, holding Sword like it was a heat-seeking missile. Hopefully the snakes couldn’t bite.
