Edgar went with her, but didn’t turn his back on the monster. Sensing that he was more determined to protect rather than attack, his sword became a shield.

They’ll trap you!” Jenny yelled over her shoulder to the other demigods, then leapt out of the window. Landing, she was faced with the sight of a pack of hellhounds and two other furies. She growled and launched herself at the nearest fury. That was a very bad idea, and she knew it. But Jenny was angry. She stabbed towards it with Sword, and it dodged. Its movements were unnaturally quick. It raked out with its claws in return, and Jenny narrowly avoided the swipe. She was quick, too.

Lunamor she/her Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 (edited) The fury drew its whip, smirking. ”Using your mother’s weapon? Have you no shame?” Her voice was oddly gleeful. She swung the whip towards Jenny with a deafening crack. She hopped away, but it left a small welt on her ankle. She gasped in pain- it hurt far more than it should’ve for such a glancing blow. Jenny dashed towards the fury, trying to pierce inside of the whip’s long range. She slashed her dagger and made a thin cut on the fury’s arm. The fury screeched; not in pain, but, well, fury. Scars of Hathsin he/him Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 Aaron Aaron tumbled out of the bus, his sword coming to life, as he wills it. The celestial bronze weapon was a balanced blade, that he had spent... a while... practicing with it. He sees the others dealing with the furies, and decides to go against the hell hounds. The first one lunges at him, and he chucks the seed he had taken from the death flower down it's throat, while at the same time willing it to grow... at extreme rates. HE staves off the hellhound with the sword, and watches the shifting bumps underneath the beasts skin. Plants blossom out of the beast, shredding it completely, and he forces them towards the hell hounds, grappling them in the spot, and going through them with his sword. Taking down ones that were even slightly entangled, or distracted.

Her eyes were wild and movements almost feral. Sword tore a hole in its shirt, but didn’t reach the wrinkled skin. The fury grinned, showing a mouth of pointed yellow teeth. It slashed out with its claws once more and tore across Jenny’s face. It left red lines that narrowly missed an eye. She stumbled backwards, letting out a screech that sounded eerily close to that of the fury.

He looked up and saw her, fighting and keeping the hounds at bay again. Kylee had come to his rescue. But…she had died to the hounds. Would she die again? He wouldn’t let her. He struggled, getting up to one knee, raising a newly formed shortsword. He raised it towards a hound, his entire arm shaking, his body filled with pain. But he didn’t fall.
