Jay ran below deck. Water was flowing much ti freely. It was up to his ineees, approaching his thighs. There was no howling wind. This wasn’t just a bramo storm. Something was different. It was unnatural. And that what what was unsettling. He gathered the raised barrels, careful to keep them dry. In these kind of situations, you needed everybody to help.

History (expirience/life story): Roger is an older member of the crew (about age 50), and is a giant of a man (imagine Andre the Giant as an old pirate). In his youth he used to get in lots of fights, but now as he is getting older he prefers to man the cannons and break things from a distance. Roger studied under an engineer once so he has a basic knowledge for tinkering with weapons.

Special skill: manning cannons, engineering and really strong (but he'll fully regret using it the next morning)

The captain suddenly threw a barrel of powder, lit with a fuse at the mast.

The prisoner dove into the water, looking for Ted. He saw him struggling with tentacle, and swam over to pull him up.

The creature gave one final cry, then released Ted and sank into the darkness...

But abovedecks, the flailing tentacles caught the mast, snapping it in two and propelling the ship forward, into the cliffs of the island in front of them.

“Swim to that bay over there!” Jay called. He began swimming. The water was cold, no, freezing. He began to get numb but pressed on.

Bill sighed. “Shut it! We can decide who’s captain if we survive long enough to get to that bay.” He said and started swimming.

Roger crawls to shore and lies on his back. "I'm getting too old this nonsense!" He shouts into the sky

Jay got to the shore as well. He reached into his pocket, and had a sinking feeling. He had left his map on the ship.

They would have to find the treasure themselves. 

"Lets set a camp."
