Her demeanor changed completely. Her mouth went slack and her eyes bittered. "Alright, then." She stalked off. A couple tables over, the girl who'd scrunched her face earlier sat alone, and she glared at Uyrili as she left.

She looked at them as they approached, then looked back down at her food saying nothing. Kio picked up a bright red cherry by the stem and narrowed his eyes at it.

Retyni stayed silent as well. After about ten seconds of analysis, he ate the cherry (minus the stem and pit). About three seconds after swallowing it, he burped with his mouth closed, and black smoke began to float out of his mouth.

Gem scooted away. Just a little bit. Magic was normal here. Heck, even he had some. But he had never seen someone cry butter before.
