Ash smiled. “No. I just have a lot of paper work to sort through. It’s what I get for taking a vacation as one of the few staff in the infirmary.”

Ash nodded. “Really if you need anything, anything at all, let me know. You can walk down the hall or push that button.” She pointed to a red button on the wall and then turned and left.

Almond awakes in a new gray form. Seemingly really tired he slowly darkens to his normal brown and looks around. He's still in Aventine's (The boys'?) room. Both children are sleeping soundly as he gets up and enters the hallway.
