"By, say, annoying someone and breaking into their room despite their best efforts to stop the one who broke in." He looks at her pointedly.

“Okay, admittedly that isn’t great of me. But safety and happiness are major things that the Clinic tries to provide. You don’t need to take it into your own hands.”

"Tries and fails. Hasn't this place nearly been destroyed like a hundred times over."

"And people die all the time. Like that Elan guy. I felt his death. Poor dude. Not happy in the slightest."

“That may be the case, but look at it this way. If we don’t have low, sad moments, we forget to appreciate the happy moments. If we’re always happy, we forget the power of happiness.”

"If we're always dying, we also forget the power of happiness. Also, low, sad moments are the worst. Having only happy moments? Much better."

“But if you have only happy moments, they don’t seem as happy as they would be if you felt other things too. If you eat a food you really, really like, and don’t eat anything else, that food will eventually taste disgusting to you.”

"Food and happiness aren't the same thing. Now, I wish you to leave." At that word, the boy's eyes flash, and a strong, humid wind blows her out the door, slamming it shut. He slid the bolt, locking the door so she couldn't get back in.

Her back slammed into the wall opposite the door, and she yelped in pain.

He ignored the yelp. She deserved that. Her joy could only come after punishment.

She started gasping for air, panicking. It was suddenly much harder to breathe. Her hair fell out of its loose bun.

Punishment.

Yes.

She was one of those roadblocks to happiness.

She would have to be removed.

She coughed into a fist. She shouldn't have been able to see anything.

But she saw red.

Good job Elan

Kid's wind was so strong the nice librarian is drowning from her internal bleeding

Delphi approached, eyes attentive. She glanced at the door, then down at the librarian. She gently, silently picked her up, walking to the infirmary.

So let it be written. So let it be done.

Delphi gently wiped the blood away, laying her on an infirmary bed. She pulls out a blue liquid from her belt, and the next time the librarian tries to breath in, she pours in into her mouth, making her inhale it.

"Don't cough this up, if you can. It will burn, but it will help you heal." She says softly.

"Good." Delphi said softly, gently stroking loose hairs out of Sunny's face. "You'll need rest, a few hours at least. I'll protect you from the boy while you sleep."

Delphi leaned back, inhaling quietly. She closed her eyes, putting a hand on Sunny's forehead, using her magic to transfer some of the pain to herself.

She sighed quickly. Even a little relief was bliss. “Thank you…” she said quietly.
