Lundyn sits in the closet of her room at the insanity clinic, not really doing anything. She missed Pic. Was Pic dead? Was it her fault? She started to cry quietly and lays her head on her arms, crossed above her knees which were pulled close to her chest.

He kissed her in the cheek… and met a mouthful of glitter. He choked a little bit, and spat the glitter out. 
 

He took a few deep breaths, and then whistled a quick, happy tune. The glitter peeled away from both of them, and spiraled into a little ball. He hummed a minor chord, and the glitter burst into flame, disappearing in an instant. 
 

“Next time the feathered one shows up,” Pic muttered with a slight chuckle. He kissed Aventine again, successfully this time, and led her to the main hall.

"I'll try to keep it from her," she laughed. She wiped more of the glitter off her face. She made sure to keep their fingers laced.

He tightened his grip as he led her to the lounge. He found a love seat that they could fit on, and sat down, slightly pulling her onto the chair.

Pic allowed himself to relax, leaning back into her. He summoned his staves with his other hand, and floated one in front of Aventine. He began to mess with the staff in front of him, creating a melody.

Elans eyes begin glowing black.

He squeezes them shut, hugging himself tight as his room begins to shake. He shudders as something steps through a dark hole in reality. It's a... well, a stick figure. It's wreathed in oily black liquid, and it's proportions are stretched out, grotesque. It is completely, uniformly black, and it's form ripples and shakes.

"Leave. Leave. PLEASE." Elan says, face contorted in pain. "I let you have it. Let you kill them. You promised. YOU MADE A PROMISE! You said you would leave, not come back... please... please leave..." Tears have started leaking down his face.

 You shouldn't have trusted me the first time. You know that. And now you will pay.

"In that moment-" She moved his hand in front of her and started rubbing his fingers. "-I was just so scared of losing everyone that I thought giving everyone up before I could lose you would hurt less."

Aftrr a moment of silence, he hums softly. “As a person who ran from everything and everyone until about a year ago,” he hummed, eyes growing distant, “running is never the solution. Retreat, maybe, but not running. It makes you tired, it makes you alone, it makes you bitter at everything you were and everything you could be. Those feelings were bad enough when my only choices were either retreat or death. I can’t imagine the pain that you would have right now if you chose to run when you could have saved.”

He snaps back to reality. “I’m just glad you are here, and you are safe.”
