Insa

Insa shrugged. "I have no idea. I don't have any connection to her except magic anymore. We were gonna put her in the prison thingy and..." Her eyes widened too. "What are you trying to say?"

Ash

Ash nodded to Pic, "Sounds like a wonderful idea." She grabbed his hand and transported them both to where Aventine and Jar Man were. She felt the chill run down her spine and her eyes narrowed.

She sent out a mental pulse searching for the source.

Aventine smiled unsurely as they came in.

Pic smiled back, and then shivered. He whistled a calming, warm tune in an attempt to stave off the cold. He was able to warm himself and gave off a little heat. He moved next to Aventine and sat on the foot of her bed. The warmth he gave off was a welcome respite from the cold, but not enough to keep it from biting.

Elan summoned an obnoxiously puffy coat around himself, and waddled over next to Aventine. "Hi." he says, sticking his chin up to avoid drowning the bottom of his face in the coat.

Any feedback she received was fuzzy and indistinct, like it was being cloaked.

Ash's uneasiness grew.

She started to speak in a whisper, "Y'all I think something is here. Be careful please. Accidentally offending invisible things is just about the worst idea anyone could ever have."

They made out a faint tinge of warmth, not cancelling out the cold but instead clashing with it, an disturbing effect.

Pic began to whistle faster and faster as he nodded at Ash’s request. Pic strained himself to see where the disturbance was originating from. As the cold and warmth washed over him, his whistles started to become more frantic, yet more focused. A column of room-temperature, stale air began to form around him as his music brought a knee jerk reaction into effect, going with Pics wishes to remain insulated. It may have taken away the feeling of warmth and cold, but it didn’t take away the disturbing fear and uneasiness.

EDIT: changed too to room. Dang autocorrect.

It didn't take the sensations away. Whatever it was wasn't physical, and couldn't be solved by changing the air. His music seemed slightly dampened, muffled.

As the sensations of clashing temperatures returned, Pic felt as if the air was being sucked from his lungs. His music was being dampened, and he began to worry.

“I’m feeling a little nauseous…” She looked green, as well.

Seeing this, he called out to the room in a hesitant voice, “Hello? Would it be possible for us to breathe and speak normally again? I’d love to talk it out?”

All at once, the sensations vanished. There was a rush of sound and movement, ambient noises and motion returning after being taken away without them realizing.

"Taking that as a no," Pic stated aloud, then sat on the floor at the foot of the bed and took a few deep breaths.

Aventine was not so easily convinced. “Are you friendly?” she whispered.

Ash snapped her fingers and the pipe disappeared. "Pick something else."

Though the cold and warmth were gone, Ash struggled to shake the uneasy feeling.
