Insanity Clinic: Season Two

[Through the Living Hope]

After Ash left, Aventine was left alone with her thoughts. Both she and Tal, the only staff members she remembered encountering, seemed to enjoy their work in the clinic and helping others.

A possibility entered her mind. She did not direct all of her thought toward it, but didn't dismiss it, either.

"I read a lot. Before I worked here I went to lots of dances. I liked the social aspect of them along with the actual dancing and music. But no one here gets many days off here. There's always something going on. But now I get to meet people here and hear their stories and help them. Which I enjoy. I sing occasionally. Mostly its just whatever I can find to do when I get any time. Which isn't often and there so many things to do here."

Arranis walks up to two people who by the looks of it were talking about magic. They both looked familiar somehow, Where did I meet them again he thinks to himself. before sidling up to the two "What are you guys talking about?"

And then darkness.

Bookwyrm opened his eyes and found himself lying on the floor of a ruined temple. His whole body ached. There was a gap in his memory...and a sense of wrongness.

Time had passed.

Too much time.

He groaned and sat up, looking around, and noticed Insa lying on the floor beside him. He reached out and shook her by the shoulder.

"Insa," he said. "You awake?"
