Melody sighed, wishing she could access her teleportation ability.

It felt so... mundane to have to get there through normal means.

She sighed, and then reached for some sort of carving ability. Any one would work, but the one she happened to reach was related to surgebinding for some reason.

She reached down to touch the ground and started to tunnel, digging through the earth that would meld to her will.

It was weird using the surge to dig, but it ultimately did get her somewhere. A strange stone tunnel, one that was narrow.

The pulses were certainly closer, but they weren't extremely close nearby.

. What is this place?

Who dug tunnels underneath a city?

She hoped she could find answers soon

TAAron's light flickered. He was now covered in wounds from coins, and the hand he had used to attack the Inquisitors was bleeding profusely.

Cells start appearing on the sides of the tunnel, and soon she sees a fight in front of one. TAAron and Rue are in the cell with a pair of mangled inquisitors. Three more are outside with Jar Man and an unconscious Aventine.

Rue cursed, pulling him through the gateway and out of the cell. It would be so easy to go back to the clinic...but Aventine's gaze haunted her. Yet, neither of them could fight. Then she saw a figure approaching.
