Emma appeared infront of her with a smile on her face. "Haly!" She squealed excitedly.

Haly skidded to a stop. Somehow the sight of Emma--- a remnant of days long past--- gave her back control of her brain. "Emma. Emma, where's TAAron?!? Is he here?!?"

She nodded, "I-i think so? I haven't kept as close an eye on events in the clinic now that I've been taking care of the twins with Calano."

She grabbed Emma's arms, frantic. "Where is he?"

"What's wrong with it? Magic is a good thing, Pisces. Sometimes." She rubbed her collar absently.

"Magic is fueled off of lies. I wouldn't want it. Those accursed with it are oblivious to it's side-effects."

"...not necessarily, no. My captain, for instance. She sees peoples' souls. She doesn't have any side effects. Her magic only shows her truth." She paused. Well... that wasn't all. But it was close enough to the truth.

"The best liars are those who tell the Truth most of the time." Pisces spoke softly, as if they were recalling a retold tale. "Have you heard of an event called the magical revolution?"

“Alright, let’s go.” Aventine grabbed Jar Man’s wrist. “See you guys soon.” She concentrated on the clinic’s inter dimensional location.

She did not focus on the intro dimensional elevation.

The two began falling through the sky directly above one of the clinic’s courtyards, and Aventine crashed through a tree. Their fall caused such a commotion that it gained the attention of those in the clinic.

We'll say Mitis is there just for fun

A blonde girl with green eyes wearing her hair in layers under a tricorner hat jumped when she saw them. Her hand twitched toward one of the weapons on her belt--- it was hard to say which. She had two swords and two pistols, and her boots looked like they'd hold a dagger or two. "You're patients here, right?"

"Yes, no, sorta" he holds out a jar. "Cricket eyes?"

"Thank you. But no. Have you seen a brunette running around screaming her head off? Or, alternatively, a girl in a black uniform?"

"It's an event that happened once, where all magic ceased to work and instead left. Populations that relied on magic for anything collapsed. People starved being unable to eat foods magically grown. Defense was gone and structures held together by magical adhesion crumbled. And at the end of all that, magic triumphed. It ruled the world, and it thrived."

She shrugged. "Fair. Where were you before you fell from the sky?"
