"No... You just channel the god's power. So for example I know someone who channels her magic from the storm god. She can summon storms and lightning. She uses it as an aid in her fighting mostly. Some times she does other things. But her connection with the god give or well gave her the knowledge to use the power. Things with the storm god and her are rather complicated."

"Oh. I have something similar, called the Inheritance, which is a thing where when a god dies, the power gets passed onto me. As a safety measure, I cannot die."

Rue’s face slowly went back to being emotionless, but it somehow seemed a little less…cold. “How do their deaths affect you?”

Luna stood there. It felt like she was being ignored partially. She left and continued wandering around. She looked around for Pic and Honor.
