A goat monster came unusually close to Aventine. She ducked away, terrified, barely able to contain her screaming. She started running randomly around the clinic to lose it

"For stars sake..." Tal poked him again. This time he didn't go back to his room, but instead to a small, empty concrete room in the other basement. This one will keep him there.

Aventine shook her head, throwing her hands in the air. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a darkness begin to spread - not a shadow, exactly, but like something had been glowing and wasn't anymore. A few seconds later, a grinding began. "What in the name of the Lord Ruler is that?!"
