Arget draws a thin metal knife from his pack and ask "We're going to a realm of death? Let me change my marks." He turns to luna and hands her the the knife. He lifts his Shirt, under which Luna sees a carved scar. "Just wave the blade over the scar. "

The two plummeted into the void, the sound of the water rushing through the cavernous abyss filling their ears. It became dark. Impossibly dark. Not just enough to make seeing impossible, but somehow to dull all of their senses, leaving them feeling completely consumed, like the darkness was a force, suffocating and constricting them.

The darkness became crushing, then piercing. It was like it was invading their souls, filling every crevice, and then deconstructing their being. It was terrifying. It also lasted for what felt like a long, long while, not disappearing or even growing weaker.

Luna felt the darkness. It hurt. However, she didn't know what it was. She felt something inside of her fighting against the darkness, but yet again she didn't know what it was. She gripped her bag, looking around the darkness for her friends, or literally anything.

As Arget falls he feels the darkness begin to crush him. Beneath his robes a bright blue light begins to glow. Luna hears a laugh coming from the direction of the light. "A shadow? I should have brought dawn!" Arget knows the shadow is trying to make him succumb, to fall into the shadow, but what kind of hunter would he be if we wasn't warded against this.

Luna heard a laugh and looked around got the source of it. She sees a faint blue light below her, unsure what it was.

The shadow is everywhere now, pushing on his eyes and mouth and chest and hands and back and heart and lungs and eyes and mouth and chest and....
He's only just awake now, holding on by his scars and the distant beat of his heart.

Melody felt different in the darkness.

It was familiar.

Stars.

Stars started to glow faintly, littering the dark space.

Then, the noise.

Distant chiming of bells matched with an ethereal call.

Pulses

Shine

Glow

Melody could tell herself she could see it.

Shimmer.

Light.

All light she could see finally condensed.

And when she opened her eyes, she could finally exist on a tangible plane.

She was whole again.

She held up her own hand, examining it again. 

It was translucent, but still in a recognizable shape, with the actual outlines still defined.

She still fell, regardless, but this time she finally existed.

The darkness, finally, seemed to be receding slightly. It was still impossible to see, but the consuming pressure was lowering noticeably.
