It wasn't a whirlpool, more like a spontaneous waterfall, water crashing down into a open void in the middle of a vast, still expanse. It sparked a strange feeling, like it was calling to her to plunge in and see how far it went, feel the weightlessness of the fall.

The darkness faded away, but Rue was still holding the memory.
