If it's possible can when a post in a thread has been last edited be displayed. I was thinking either that editing a post would update the thread's "last posted" time or a new "last edited" category be created. At the moment if someone edits their post it's easily missed by those who read the previous version because they're likely to start from where they left off.

I concur, this would be very good. I think the old SMF boards did that. I'll search if there's a nice easy plugin for something like this.

im pretty sure you can, you just need to click the "show edited by" checkbox does this, doesn't it? i havent tested but i thought i did. I will go ahead and try with this post and see if it gets the results youre looking for....

test

Well, it shows an "edited by" line that's pretty visible, but it doesn't change the post info on the main index....

Yeah, I'm a rather big offender in this regard.

EDIT: A good post is never truly finished.

EDIT 2: So such a feature would be useful.

Yeah, I tested this a little earlier, because I thought for sure it made the forum marker light up. Not so.

But I believe it does mark it unread for anyone who has read the unedited version. It wont for the person who edited cause they read it lol.
