Amyra looked Ninddle, Cassian, and Eddie in the eyes.
She felt intense hatred, yes.
For the other tributes.
For the gamemakers.
But also for herself.
For what she'd become.
For the world.
For what it made her.

She drew her sword.

Amyra, A small, quiet voice said in her head. Amyra smiled bitterly.

Yes, Aerie?

Don't forget me.

I won't.

Do you promise?

...... I promise.

She took a deep breath, and spoke her fourth ideal.

“I accept that sometimes the only way I can protect others is by ending myself."

And she stabbed herself in the chest with her sword. She wouldn't use her shardblade for this. She let the blood run down her body.

She staggered to the center of the ring, supporting her weight on the hilt of the blade, the tip digging into the sand.

Her voice was raspy and strained as she spoke her death rattle.

[Warning: It's long]

I suppose we all must die.
It’s inevitable, isn’t it?
How insignificant we are.
Just one life.
Just one death.
Just one family, mourning.
I look at the stars and think…
What are we?
What have we done?
What are our hopes and our dreams when faced with the endless possibilities out there.
The worlds we’ll never discover.
The years that keep coming, even if they leave others behind.
My mother died when I was twelve.
She held my face and told me that we all were worthless.
That life had no meaning.
Or value.
But I disagreed.
My father, overcome by grief, wouldn’t wake up most mornings.
It was my twin and I who would get up every morning and work the fields.
Feed the sheep.
Harvest the crops.
Tend to the farm.
Raise our sister and brother.
Freya was only six years old when my mother died, and Theo was one.
It was the effects of Theo’s birth that killed her, after all.
She stared me in the eyes and told me that I was worthless.
I didn’t believe her.
I was foolish, I suppose.
I thought I could still protect people
I thought there were still people to protect.
Well, there always will be people to protect.
But they don’t know it.
And they don’t want protection.
So, of course, my name got drawn.
My mother died, a liar.
But I think I’m starting to believe her now.
And the unsettling part?
I’m not upset.
Or frustrated.
Or discouraged.
I accept it.
I am at peace.
What is death?
Death is moving on.
Accepting and understanding.
Awakening and delving into slumber.
It is life’s beginning and life’s end.
Death is revival.
Death is peace.
Death is closing your eyes, knowing you wont open them again, and smiling.
It is finally saying goodbye, without feeling that bitter longing.
It will approach you at the right time, and right moment.
Don't worry, it will come.
This moment wasn't yours, but sometime, it will be.
And when that moment comes, accept it.
For that is all we can do.
That is all I can do.
My moment has come.
Perhaps yours will, soon.
And that is when you know that you can rest.
For death is nothing.
And everything.
It is lightness.
And it is darkness.
There is something of importance to remember as you let me die, here.
Alone.
Wilting to the world.
One last strand of words- powerful words- that I can offer to the pitiful world.
It is your choice to accept it.
But at the same time, it is not.
We have no choice.
And every choice.
Don’t go on living, leaving yourself behind.
It’s coming after you.
After all of you.
And it’s catching up.

Collected 8 seconds pre-death. Subject was a darkeyed youth of sixteen years who had taken her own life in the Second Annual Hunger Games.

Amyra closed her eyes.

And smiled.

Not sure if a full shardbearer is better than the coin, but whatever.

Ninddle glanced around, looking for his opponent, but all he could see was the plateau and rocks on it. "Storming Truthwatcher illusions." Summoning his shardblade, Ninddle starts wandering around slicing at random rocks, trying to find Ezrium. @Canada Lover

Ezrium saw Ninddle go by, stabbing at rocks. Ezrium knew this was his chance.

Sorry Vybre. I have to do this for the both of us. You know I don't want to do this.

It's okay.

Ezrium jumped out at Ninddle from behind, equipping his shard armour and bringing out Vybre as a shardblade.

Ezrium blocked this attack and stepped back. He started circling Ninddle, using Stormlit to make illusions of himself, confusing Ninddle so he wouldn't know which one was the real one.

A little bit of Stormlit leaked from the armour, but it was still very much intact. Ezrium swung at and cut Ninddle's arm with Vybre as a shardblade (it would at least make the arm unusuable for now) and backed away quickly.

It’s a shardblade, isn’t it? It’d probably cause some damage. (From a bystander’s perspective)

Ninddle glided backwards, forcing stormlight into his arm, healing it and then resummoned his hammer and returned to the fight swinging

Ezrium quickly dodged and made the arena next to Ninddle pitch dark. Ezrium silently and quickly made a swinging motion with his shardblade towards Ninddle's legs.

Everything went dark and Ninddles legs collapsed under him. he pushed himself to the side and sommuned Javek as a shield as he waited for his legs to heal.

Ninddles legs healed, but his arm was severed and his shield vanished. scrambling to his feet he starts circling Ezrium from a distance, healing his arm.

This time, Ezrium made the entire arena very bright, blinding Ninddle. Instead of swinging for the limbs, he swung for the heart from an unknown direction.

You’re also effected by your lightweaving too. If I can’t see then I don’t think you can either
