He sees, in the distance, some building supplies! Specifically man-sized boulders being thrown about like child’s toys by a gigantic stormwall.

Flylf throws the canteen back towards the fellow and stares at the perpendicularity. She glances at the water that is slowly growing from a stream into a river.

“It has to be better than this storm, I’m going.” Rolen runs to the perpendicularity, willing himself to be transported to the cognitive realm.

He lands in a sea of glass beads.

Oradin draws in Stormlight from the perpendicularity. After removing the batteries from his flashlight gift, he Soulcasts one battery into a metal canteen for water and the other into an aluminum-alloy sword and sheath. The flashlight itself is Soulcast into a carrying pouch, into which Oradin scoops some loose sand and pebbles.

As he prepares to use the perpendicularity, Quill's voice interrupts his concentration. "Do not be going through. It is... of the danger. Remember?Oradin curses as he remembers that Shadesmar is ocean where Roshar is land.

He instead throws a cloud of sand from his pouch into the water rapidly flowing towards his feet. "You are not sand to be scattered in a stream. You are a raft to float above the chaos." The sand happily obliges, and a large new raft floats into Oradin's waiting hand. After scooping up water in his canteen and Soulcasting it to be free of impurities, he climbs on the raft and uses the Surge of Transportation to escape to Shadesmar.

After getting to the top, Sharp searches for any sort of boulder they could shelter behind when the stormwall hit.

Sage watches Rolen disappear through the perpendicularity and shrugs. “Sure, go get yourself killed.” He turns toward his other teammates, Kaa and Komadori. “I say we find a place to take shelter from that storm. Follow me.” Sage starts walking quickly on a narrow path.

Maybe that wasn’t such a good idea, Rolen thought, desperately trying to transport himself back.

If you go back through the perpendicularity, you can go back.

They’ll have to cross several chasms to get to it, but in the distance they can see a faintly glowing hut that seems to be made of solid diamond.

"Quill, what's that bird?" Oradin asks.

"Am not sure," Quill replied, sitting down next to Oradin. "Could be danger."

"Of course it could," Oradin said. He raised his sword. "Quill, paddle the raft this way. I need to be ready to fight."

“Staying away from that diamond house would probably be a good idea,” Sage said aloud. “Other tributes will see it and head towards it. Plus, the storm will probably hit before we get there anyways. We need to find a small cave, or something like that.”

A vision unfolds in front of Flylf. Water running down window panes. Shadowy figures fill her vision, many too blurred to know who they could be. But one... one of them Flylf recognized. Because it was herself, and she was in pain.

Flylf shook her head, trying to get what she had seen out of her head. I guess we aren't going in there, Worn.

"Of course we aren't, silly." A spren curled out from beneath Flylf's foot. "We don't want to die, remember?"

She rolled her eyes at the spren and asked. "Well are you gonna help me get out of these chasms?"

Worn huffed a bit, but weaves up the chasm wall, going back and forth over himself to make foot and handholds. His dark crystalline body was different than most Edgedancers' spren. Some said it was because he was cursed. Flylf insisted it was because he was royalty. Cuz who didn't want to have a royal spren at your service?

Flylf reached the top of the chasm and heaved herself over. She glanced around quickly and easily notices the storm that is approaching. She searches for something to help shelter her from the storm.

"Wait, it's glowing," Oradin said. "Could be some kind of spren." He ran through several meditation techniques to calm his emotions just in case.

Flylf blinks.

A hut made of gemstones? That would probably be useful in a highstorm. Flylf starts to run towards the hut, but realizes that she is still close to the perpendicularity. So, she breathes in deeply, and begins to slide at a very quick speed towards the diamond hut.
