The Machine and Nightblood

Near the end of Yumi in the nightmare painter, hoid says that the machine is basically an awakened object with vague instructions that make it dangerous. If this doesn’t of a specific talking sword there are other things that should.

for example, the machine absorbs investiture around it and creates a black smoke. Of course, they are very different in many ways. For example, Nightblood’s command makes them sentient, which is definitely something the machine lacks, but I think it’s important to point out the similarities.
