How to hide user pages better

Recommended Posts

I am working on making an updated page using information from the SA5 Prologue on a personal user page (I have it marked for SA5 Prologue Spoilers in the name). I know that there is a way to put code in that makes it not show up in any category pages, how exactly would I go about doing that? I don't want to spoil anyone, but I also want to structure the page for when the book eventually releases, and for my own entertainment.

So, basically, what codes keep the page more hidden?

What page is it you’re working on? Only the book pages are allowed on the Coppermind before release and anything else needs to be done elsewhere (Google doc, Word etc.).

SA5 Prologue Spoilers

Spoiler

Now that it is basically confirmed that Chanarach is Shallan's mother, I was just trying to see how they would fuse together. It has already been a prominent theory for a long time, but we got basically complete confirmation in the preview.

I was doing it all on one of the User Subpages, but haven't saved the page yet.  As I was waiting for an answer so I can make sure it doesn't show up in category pages.

The title of the page is just CharacterUpdate(SA5) so when it shows up in recent edits, it wouldn't spoil anything in the name, and it would warn people that it contains spoilers for that.

Unfortunately I do still need to ask you to move to a different platform - it is really appreciated the measures you’re putting in but past experience has shown that people ignore every warning or clue put in place then get upset, hence why we have this policy. It also causes confusion if some people are allowed to put up spoilers (even if it’s just on user pages) and others aren’t.

Understandable, I have seen people get upset about spoilers they were totally warned about before, so yeah, I get it.
