J0rsbak
Is Sixteen (the one in Lasting Integrity Shallan thinks at first thinks is Restares) Spook, he is Scadrian (there’s a WOB for this but since I’m new here I can’t put the link it’s in YouTube Stream 5, #55), he seems to be using cadmium and duralumin to jump into the future and he appears at chapter 75 of ROW and chapter 76 is called Harmony. PS: I’m new to the forum, I already posted something similar on Reddit but I haven’t found a similar post here.
Quantus
Welcome! Here's that WOB. If you find it in the Arcanum (link at the top of page) and click the Copy button within the WOB box to copy it to your clipboard, or Share to copy just the link. 16 is a transplant from Scadrial and apparently is one of the debunked identities that folks theorized might be Restares. That puts Spook pretty high on the list by virtue of being one of the few named Scadrians that could make the trip and one we love to theorize is still kicking about. There's also a Kandra somewhere on Roshar (and Lasting Integrity should count). Felt would technically fit the bill but we know what he looks like. No others come to mind. He could be using Cadmium bursts to skip through time, or he could probably be using Feruchemical compounding to supply Food and water from pure investiture, and sustain himself that way (along with Atium compounding or some other form of Agelessness). Quote God Sixteen. Does he originate from Scadrial? Brandon Sanderson They're asking about the odd character who lives in Lasting Integrity. The answer is yes, this is a Scadrian transplant. It's is one of the people who they think might be Restares but turns out isn't. Yes, it is a character from Scadrial. Treamayne
Welcome to the forums. Also, here are some tips, in case you are unfamiliar with the tools available on this type of forum interface (if you know all of this, please disregard). Spoiler At the bottom left of a post you will see a "+" icon, a "Quote" link, and (your posts only) and Edit and Options tools. On the bottom right you will see an up arrow. The Up Arrow is how you thank people or "like" a post The "Quote" link is exactly that, when you click it the quote will be added to the reply at the bottom of the thread wherever the cursor is So, if you have already started to reply before you decide to quote you can then add the quote before or after your text depending on the cursor location when you click "Quote" The + icon is multi-quote. As you read a thread, if you want to quote multiple items you click that for each post As you click +, you should see a toaster pop-up on the bottom right of the browser window showing how many quotes you will have They are added in the order you click the + icon, not in the original post order, so you can set the order of quotes for your reply When you are ready to reply, click on the toaster pop-up and it will take you directly to the reply section and add the quotes automatically Finally, you can also highlight a small section of a post and, when hovering over the highlit portion, click the "Quote" button that pops up. Also note that you can move quotes after they have been added to your reply. For example, you add a quote and realize there are no empty lines below it for you to type - so you can hit "enter" before the quote to make an empty line then when you hover over a quote you will see a 4-way arrow at the top-left that you can use to drag the quote up (or down) and move the quote to before the empty line. . . Use the Edit link to make changes to a completed post or add information to your post if it is the most recent (to avoid double posting) Quote buttons will still send a quote to "Reply" if you have a post open for edit, but it is easy to cut/paste the quote to the Edit box Editing the first post in a thread allows the thread-creator to edit the thread title. Editing allows you to add a reason for the edit (Spelling and grammar (SPAG), formatting, clarification, new information, etc.), but it is not required. Next to Edit you will also find an "options" dropbox, you can use this to hide your post if you want to remove it after posting At the top of a post you will find "Report Post" Use this if you do accidentally double-post (sometimes it's the browser or a slow link that causes a double post) - just leave a message that it was an accidental double post and the Mods can fix it. If it was the first post of a new thread that doubled, they usually can merge the threads if they both have answers, so all of the content is retained. Hope that helps. 2 hours ago, J0rsbak said: Is Sixteen (the one in Lasting Integrity Shallan thinks at first thinks is Restares) Spook, he is Scadrian (there’s a WOB for this but since I’m new here I can’t put the link it’s in YouTube Stream 5, #55), he seems to be using cadmium and duralumin to jump into the future and he appears at chapter 75 of ROW and chapter 76 is called Harmony. Here's the thread where we previously discussed Sixten's possible identities. As discussed there, it's doubtful that Sixteen is using Cadmium. RoW makes a point to say that he eats and drinks nothing, and they never remove waste from his "house." This indicates a Subsumer ferring (or F-Bendalloy compounder). RoW Ch 75: Spoiler He supposedly came out of his home once every sixteen days exactly—the regularity of it amused the honorspren, who suffered the odd fellow because of the novelty. No one knew how he survived without food, and no one reported a terrible stench or anything like that from him—though he didn’t ever seem to bathe or empty a chamber pot. I have to ask: If you are surviving entirely on Compounded F-Bendalloy Investiture...would they need to poop? Ive always assumed F-Cadmium and F-Bendalloy would be the core of some Space-age Life Support Systems later on, but I was never sure if the ships would have Waste Disposal (converting waste mass back into Investiture or something) or just supplement directly with Investiture to bypass those processes completely.

I would guess that this passage answers that. In the short term, if there is still matter passing though the digestive system, then yes (excrement happens). If you are long-term using BendalloyMinds and receiving stored nutrition and hydration, then I would imagine your body is only using what is needed and not producing waste.

I have to wait until we actually know he's using Feruchemy and only Feruchmey before I can use 16 as confirmation about how Feruchemy itself works. There is no "only what the body needs" for calories and water, the biological/chemical process require waste products to be produced (and a lot of the water goes to carrying it all out through the kidneys). Looking at Lift as a realmically similar (we assume) process, she converts blood sugar and bodily fat-stores into "Lifelight' Investiture but it's theoretically already gone through the processes that would have stripped the energy and left the waste. On the other hand, Investiture supplements Breathing (via stormlight or Feruchemy) there is no backlog of CO2 in the blood or anything, they simply dont need to inhale or exhale for the duration that the Investiture is available (bypassing both sides of the coin), so it could really plug the Magic handwave into one of several places in the "natural" process. This old WOB sure implies there could and/or will be a Poop Metalmind eventually. Quote angwilwileth Since there's a Feruchemical metal that stores calories, is there one that stores the need to eliminate waste? Brandon Sanderson Not yet. /r/books AMA 2015 (July 30, 2015) Edited June 19 by Quantus grammar...
