Theoretically speaking, it is possible to bonds 2 radiant spren and even to belong to 2 different orders.

Is there a limit to how many Shardblades you can have? Be bonded to?

Brandon Sanderson

Theoretically, not really. There are some things that could bound that. I can imagine people having a lot. In the original draft of The Way of Kings (2002) Amaram had two. And so, it's definitely possible to have multiples, and I had not thought of someone trying to bond every Shardblade.

Questioner

So that means you can be bonded to more than one spren.

Brandon Sanderson

Well, those Shardblades... Can you be bonded to more than one spren? That question's answer is also yes. Potentially. But there is a much harder limit on that.

Is it true that humans can bond to multiple spren?

Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased)

They can theoretically bond to multiple spren.

As long as you could find spren who were cool with it and could maintain oaths on both sides, it’d be possible. Alternatively, you could probably be a squire to another order, even as a full Radiaint. At the most extreme point, you could theoretically bond every order, though it’d be practically impossible to keep your oaths at that point. Nevertheless, I thought I’d ask to see how far you guys would go

For the purposes of this exercise, let’s handwave away any mechanical difficulties of forging more than  bonds and imagine they can be established just as if they were seperate. Would you be willing to bond multiple spren? Or be a knight of one to more order and a squire in others? Which orders would those be? Keep in mind that you may not be able to be a squire for Edgedancers, Elsecallers, or Truthwatchers.

The herald Nale also has two blades, although one is an Honorblade.

While being able to do even more of the surges would be cool, I also think about how they mention that the fused are more adapt to their specific powers—only having one—than the radiant who have three. So the question might also ask if you would rather be good at many things, or especially good at one, given the same time commitment.

I wouldn't want to join multiple orders, personally.

Not because the powers aren't cool - they would be - but because of the commitment. Being a Radiant is HARD. You have to dedicate yourself to some ideal to the point of structuring your whole life around it. One set of ideals is hard enough, and two - well, your entire life would be dictated by balancing these overpowering drives.

One order is worth it for the stormlight healing, which is so incredible I actually would reorganize my life around it if it made me immune to injuries. Two orders... nah.

@ftl made a great point. It's unlikely for me to join the second order, but if I was given that opportunity, I would likely try, only because based on the quiz I'm most fitted for Truthwatchers and Skybreakers just behind them. One is about seeking truth, the other is about justice. I think they could synergize quite nicely.

It depends so much on what world I'm living in. If this is on Roshar, then I am probably also enlisting for the war effort. The Orders that deal with self-mastery would probably change the least between societies, but the ones that specifically deal with societal support will change based on the society and world that the Radiant lives in. Oaths as a Windrunner or Skybreaker in a modern society could be really ethically complicated. Oaths of a Edgedancer to listen when social media exists could be a nightmare for me. I'll have to think about that. Multiple Order's Oaths are hard to keep, but you only need 2nd or 3rd Oath to get all the Surges offered. 2 sets of Plate, while awesome, probably isn't significantly better than 1.
