"Well it's also the bad news. But it's kinda good news because I might be able to navigate once we get through the portal."

"How would you know where that portal leads? What if it leads to, an alien dimension where bugs come from or something."

"Because I've dealt with this before, and you haven't."

"You dealt with that many ships? Wow. Impressive. I am still unsure whether they'll give you a pass for that though. "

"What kind of signals are you blocking?"

"I haven't really been blocking signals so much as making us appear to not exist. It's sort of hard to explain."

“In any case, we should get moving before one of those ships spies us on their view screens and wonders why their computers haven’t noticed us.”

Wouldn't they notice you more if you start moving?

I mean, the ships aren’t moving and we need to get closer to them, so.

"I can also probably make us invisible. Or at least, harder to see."

“Okay, but don’t overextend yourself. We’ll likely need you later.”

I'm unsure how to fit strohger into all this

Have him make some sort of ignorant, snide comment that makes it clear he doesn’t know anything about the situation but still chooses to be a wise-ass about it.

They’re trying to leave the universe through the portal that the Evil Empire(TM) from Ayia’s universe opened because Allera is being chased by the Evil Empire(TM) from their universe. Variance is there because Ayia and Allera rescued him from his imprisonment on the planet where Allera was staying. He’s cursed, but he’s got cool Perception powers that he’s currently using on the ship.

"Alright, that... should be good for now." Ayia stepped up to the cockpit. "Al, take us a few hundred kilometers back - we should be out of their standard scanning range at that distance, so we can give Vari a break for a bit."

Strohger awoke from the nightmare.

"Do you really think that they wouldn't notice some ship flying away with no transponders? So you think they wouldn't be at least interested? And do you really think they let little ships past as long as they are not on their scanners? What do you think happened to their eyes? Went out of their head overnight?"

“Got it. Will the Beorin ships be able to see us on their scanners? Is so, will they be able tell us apart from a Kkhlei ship?”

"No and no. We're far enough from their visual scanners that we'd probably just pick up as an asteroid - if they saw us at all."

"Whatever you say. Just try to act more Astroid-like, since astroids don't really move one direction, then stop, then go back."

“Maybe the person who’s dealt with Beorin ships before knows more about them than you do.”

"You can't just 'deal' with a Beoerin ship. That's not how it works."
