Channelknight Fadran Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Quote Put simply, I don’t care
The Aspiring Archivist any pronouns Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Just now, Aeoliae said: "If I let you use my body, Can you give it back, after you fix variance?" Quote I should mention that even if they try this, it won't work because 1: he's not dead and 2: even if he was, he doesn't have any sort of living form to be revived.
NameIess Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Just now, Aeoliae said: "If I let you use my body, Can you give it back, after you fix variance?" Shim flickers red, becoming uncomfortably hot. "No. Your body could not withstand the curse that binds me."

Channelknight Fadran Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Quote “Caring about other people” does not entail ruining my own art so you can be comfortable with the result. The way I see it, you’re the one who barged into this whole thing and started slinging accusations about how I’m doing it “wrong”
Aeoryi she/her Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 1 minute ago, Channelknight Fadran said: Quote Annnndddd this is why I sent that PM to you ages ago
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Quote Don’t wrap this around to you being the victim. You’re better than that

NameIess Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Just now, Aeoliae said: "And do you want to specify what that curse entails? Could I still live after you disintegrated my body" "You want to know what my curse entails? Fine." The light on Strohger's chest disappears. "About eight thousand years ago, I accomplished my greatest feat as a necromancer. Something that no one in the history of my magic had ever done: I revived someone whose soul had been destroyed by magic. For reasons I don't want to get into this weakened me considerably, and my enemies chose this moment to strike. They did not intend to merely trap me in this form; they intended to kill me. This curse that was placed upon me, it was designed to destroy my body, my mind, and my soul. Against any being I have ever met besides myself, it would have succeeded." Shim paused, light shifting from a dark red to bright gold. "So yes, my possession of you would be lethal. Entirely, inescapably, permanently lethal." Quote I think both of you guys have OP characters. I mean, Strohger's powerset includes interdimensional travel, basically completely uncapped air manipulation powers, magical connection powers, and a whole lot of other insanely broken elemental powers. (even if he can't do all of that, it is within his potential, correct?) Ayia's powers include: Magical math stuff that takes prep time. A few magic weapons. Ability to see magic. Slightly superhuman speed, endurance, and reaction speed. She hasn't done anything extremely broken, she just used her abilities to dodge Strohger's attack and get close to him before he could react with his (I assume) normal human abilities.
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Quote Whatever. This clearly isn’t going anywhere, we clearly can’t come to a compromise, and it’s barreling towards a heated argument faster than it takes television news to ruin a meme, so I’m going to concede out of what little civility I have left to work with here and peace out do whatever you want here. I don’t care. Here’s hoping you were right, and that all my additions were the problem. This is taking up too much of my time and energy to continue, and if all I get for it is ceaseless accusation then I see no reason to stick around.

"But you said you could do stuff while in someone body. I think." Quote Strohger can only use air. It's complicated, but it is basically just air.

Quote Even still. If he touched all the air (or most of it) in a ship, he could control all of it. He could order it to escape the ship, destroying the entire thing with air pressure.
Aeoryi she/her Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Just now, Nameless* said: "Go get me a body, and I'll do something." Quote I think that's was solved a while ago "Any specifics? Should I kill a guard?"
NameIess Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Just now, Aeoliae said: "Any specifics? Should I kill a guard?" "I need a living body. And something will need to connect my soul and its soul." Quote How? What's stopping him from getting the air in a ship to puncture a hole in the hull and escaping out of it?
Aeoryi she/her Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Just now, Nameless* said: "I need a living body. And something will need to connect my soul and its soul." "Okay. Let's just use mine. Any objections?" Quote Why not just puncture a whole in the ship? Because its not that sharp.
NameIess Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Just now, Aeoliae said: "Okay. Let's just use mine. Any objections?" "You... alright. I suppose you want to die. Let's proceed. Use your magic to link with my soul." Quote This will kill Strohger, as I've said it will. Just making sure you know that. And so what if air isn't sharp? Enough pressure in one spot, and the hull will give.
Aeoryi she/her Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Just now, Nameless* said: "You... alright. I suppose you want to die. Let's proceed. Use your magic to link with my soul." Quote Unless he's influencing a lot of air, he can't press it against something that much. Tempest cannot bend metal, so that wouldn't be a problem to begin with "Okay." Strohger linked Shim's soul to his. It was more like using a rope than anything else. "Go ahead." Quote Yes, that's fine. I need to prepare for stuff anyways so I won't have the time to be on the shard often And then @Channelknight Fadran can continue playing
Channelknight Fadran Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Quote No. I’m leaving. I mean it when I say it’s been too stressful.

Channelknight Fadran Posted September 3, 2023 Posted September 3, 2023 Quote Absolutely none of you are allowed to think it’s your fault. That is incorrect, you are better people than that, and I don’t want to believe otherwise. Stress is stress and it just happens.
