Who says this isn't?

Everything reappeared. "Okay... But, then what? Are they usually harsh with their punishments?"

"Yeah, do they do torture?"

"Often, yes. And they're quick to execute as well."

"So we should worry about torture?"

"It depends. Torture isn't for interrogations - they have much more efficient methods of gathering information. But it's often used to extract forced confessions after the fact to dispose of prisoners without any hassle." Ayia glanced around. "For now we just look like common thieves, if I had to guess, but it's... it's also possible that I'm still in their database somewhere."

"So what method do they use, anyhow?"

"If you're thinking about it, it's on the list."

"So what will they do when they capture us? Torture us or just leave us to rot?"

Ayia shut off the engines and cut the power. It reverted to auxiliary, but by Beorin standards that was more than acceptable to board.

"We'll come quietly," she said, finger planted firmly into the intercom button.

It only took about a minute before they'd submitted the override code to the interceptor and taken full control of it. From there, they guided it remotely to the nearest holding bay.

Variance spoke only to their group. "Should I be... doing anything?"

"You're the one who wanted to surrender in the first place."

"Well, you wanted to die. So I decided against that. What happens now? you seem to be quite familiar with this, hence me asking." @Channelknight Fadran
