Or at least, there's WAY too high a volume of air for that to be reasonable. His powers can move air, sure, compress relatively small amounts of it, but somehow disappearing a ship full?

The air in cargo bay that they landed in and the one that they left is gone, presumably headed to space if you want an answer. And yes, ventilation has been considered, but fourth uses markers not stakes The ship is not entirely affected. The ship did not implode. Darn. The amount of air in the ship was too huge to really be marked all at once, so Strohger supposed he shouldn't have expected it to implode Edited August 26, 2023 by Aeoliae Yeah that's not that big of an impact

Only marked air can be used. And only marked air was affected. Which means cargo bay 1+2 How would it get to space? That would depend, but I would say it could probably move through the engine or something. Maybe we can just say it went to a random spot, in allera's ship or something. He doesn't exactly need to be near the place, sight isn't required for tempest to be used (winter would be affected) but how long ago you visited it would affect it yes.
Channelknight Fadran Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Quote I... would like a full explanation of how Tempest works

Aeoryi she/her Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 (edited) 13 minutes ago, Channelknight Fadran said: Spoiler Okay Quote Tempest works as it is in a full set of powers. I'll skip to the important stuff - The fourth (short for the fourth power) is this thing that allows you to connect to things depending on the trace they have in them. Trace is the natural defense against Otherside, the natural consequence of power not present in this universe. Now, only certain things can be influenced, called mutables. Hedra (space distortion), Winter (ice based structures), Metaluna (Trace composition in metals), Chroma (some strange stuff you don't really nedd to know), Aelumi (solid light, or light in general), inversion (reverse or opposite), and tempest (of or relating to air). A marker is a sort of flag denoting a claim on a set of air. These can be mass placed, and determine sphere of influence. They fade over time (but this can be solved with some hacking) generally, but this takes a large amount of time. Tempest refers of or relating to air. People like strohger, (tempest users) can use the fourth to connect to Tempest that they have marked and direct it all at once. Generally, precision on an atomic scale is impossible, while affecting air in large amounts is much easier. And since air is basically worthless if it is not in high amounts (not enough force behind it) it is basically worthless on small ships. Now tempest can control density of marked air, and that is relatively simple, but without a stronger bond it can't be parallel used (affecting two things at once). Okay there you go. @The Aspiring Archivist @Channelknight Fadran Edited August 26, 2023 by Aeoliae

Channelknight Fadran Posted August 26, 2023 Posted August 26, 2023 Quote gods, it's late... (I'm playing Minecraft) Ayia gunned the ship's engines again, accelerating straight for the portal. It was little more than a pitch-black splotch in the middle of open space, which boded well to having the element of surprise on their way through. "That whole debacle?" She said, steering right for the void. "Was weird."
