"Oh, certainly. There is absolutely no way we could avoid picking up on Beorin scanners with one of their own ships, but they're the only ones here fast and tough enough to get us through that portal in one piece. The plan is to get as far as we can without being noticed, then as far as we can before they get suspicious, and then to gun it the rest of the way before they explode us. Whether or not they've got a decent comms system through the portal is about fifty-fifty if I had to guess, but if we're quick enough then they probably can't quite surround us on our way through. The only thing we'll have to take care of is the manual hyperdrive lock, but as long as that's down then we can be out of here and there in just a few minutes."

It depends on how many things I'll have to change."

Channelknight Fadran Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 Ayia gave him a side-eye. "I thought we established that you aren't familiar with Beorin at all?"

Channelknight Fadran Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 "Depending on the model, they can use superlumic signals as well. FTL, but for signals. If we get a small enough ship then we should be fine though."

"They can't track anything if they can't receive signals through space, so that shouldn't matter if we can block that light from escaping. I guess it could be better just to make it entirely invisible, since they could probably still see us otherwise. And then they'd have to wonder why there's a ship emitting no signals. That might be doable." 1 minute ago, Szeth_Pancakes said: Allera was apprehensive about the light ball — great necromancer, if it was to be believed — being a part of their plan, but crossed their arms and said nothing. Variance caught the motion. "What's wrong?" he asked, picking up on something he didn't quite understand.
