Since the maybe-confirmation that the god of Shu-Dereth, Jaddeth, is another Avatar of Autonomy.

Spoiler

strican

In The Lost Metal, it mentions Autonomy having avatars in other worlds. In Shu-Dereth on Sel, Jaddeth speaks directly to Wyrn, who then propagates his will down the hierarchy-

Brandon Sanderson

Yes.

Within the religion, ambition is rewarded, but only if it aligns with the orders of the hierarchy. That sounds similar to the philosophy used in the Set, but replacing Jaddeth with Trell. Is Jaddeth an avatar of Autonomy?

Brandon Sanderson

*chuckles and points at screen in very satisfied way* RAFO. You're a very smart person.

This has made me wonder about the 'Svrakiss' and a theory that they may be one in the same, and perhaps that the Fjordell Empire isn't quite as under Autonomy's control as she would like.

It's said that Svrakiss are capable of taking over the bodies of men and controlling their actions, sound familiar?

Autonomy is capable of controlling certain people like puppets, as shown at the end of BoM and in TLM.

It is shown that they are seen as demons, being blamed for bad luck, etc.

This makes me think that perhaps a few people in Fjordell have an inkling as to their 'god's' true nature and that the Svrakiss are a subtle warning that was never truly understood.

So maybe in the Elantris Sequel, we'll be seeing some Fjordell's who aren't too keen on Jaddeth's Awakening.

Interesting! Sounds to be true, according to the WoB.

The Svrakiss do sound a whole lot like Autonomy's "immortals" that Mr. Suit spoke of.

I don't know if people seeing the Svrakiss as demons is due to them not being completely under Autonomy's thumb, I think it's more likely that such an opinion naturally evolved after such beings showed up a couple of times and people did what people will do; they formed ideas and half-baked stories about them which eventually integrated into their culture and beliefs.

It may end up making Jaddeth's return more difficult if its human followers discover that Jaddeth's servants are demons though, which I could see making some people in Fjordell rejecting Autonomy's Avatar as Jaddeth.

Good catch on the WoB by the way! :)

That makes more sense, after all people suddenly gaining red eyes and talking really creepily definitely wouldn't be good for PR.
