In chapter 32 of Warbreaker hoid says he learned his storytelling from "a man who didn't know who he was"(I'm thinking the original hoid maybe?) In " a distant place were two lands meet and gods have died" my first thought was that this was talking about Yollen but what are the two lands that meet in that case? Also it's says gods plural not just god so unless another shard was shattered there I'm skeptical. My next thought was Roshar but this is much earlier in the cosmear than that and I dont know if honor has died yet but even then that's only one God. Sel had two shards die and has two different lands as in the elantris side of the planet and the side of the planet where forgery takes place(I cant remember what it's called) so my best guess was that this was the planet he was talking about but if it's true then whoever hoids teacher was (real hoid?) Was possibly an elantrian what do yall think I just came up with this in like ten minutes sitting here so please feel free to call me out on everything I'm wrong about.

As far as I know, on Yolen two types of life existed - Earth-like life with humans, and Fain life with Sho Del and Dragons. Fain life creates a hostile ecosystem for humans. Those might be the two lands mentioned by Hoid. Plus a distant place fits Yolen, as currently it is hidden and almost unaccesible to anyone in the Cosmere.

Not only Adonalsium was worshiped as a god, dragons and Aethers were and are also worshiped as such. Some of them might have died.

But there are WoBs kind of confirming that Hoid was talking about Yolen:

Spoiler

Herald (paraphrased)

Asked for a dedication from a resident of Yolen.

Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased)

Got "May two worlds become one to you" He stressed that it's worlds not realms!!!

Arcanum Unbounded San Francisco signing (Nov. 30, 2016)

Spoiler

Strumienpola (paraphrased)

Were Yolen dead gods some kind of pre-Adonalsium shards?

Brandon Sanderson (paraphrased)

RAFO on Yolen... but no. Before the Shattering there were no Shards, so these gods are something different.

Warsaw signing (March 18, 2017)
