Yeah, Lightwards. That's his secret. And Doctor Funtimes is a resurrected, cross-dressing Napoleon Bonaparte who acts insane to disguise his military genius. Good detective work there.

It's actually not a bad guess. :P To Lightwards, it makes some sense that an Epic would disguise his powers for a edge over his enemies. It would not make sense to him than that one normal human would mouth off to an Epic, and that another would actually pretend to be an Epic. :P

The logic isn't bad, it just led him to the wrong conclusion. And if it weren't for the fact that Epics are extremely arrogant folk, I'd wonder why more didn't do exactly that.

As it happens, I was originally planning on having Lightwards grow more suspicious of Nathan because of the relative tameness he treats his servants with, even putting up with backtalk and bad attitude. But ultimately, Lightwards simply couldn't process the idea that a normal human was successfully tricking everyone into thinking he was an Epic. It would take much stronger evidence than a hint of kindness to make Lightwards figure out he's not actually an Epic.

Also, Voidus: way to use the "YOU TOOK CONTROL OF MY BODY DEFENSE." I don't think anyone in the alley could have anticipated that classic move. :P

Thanks, PP sure could use a distraction right about now.. :P

Post 433: Nathan, his confidence bolstered by an unlikely friendship with Remington, stands up on the coffee table and shouts "I'M NOT AN EPIC! SUCK ON THAT, LIGHTWARDS!" before introducing him to his little friend the machine gun.

In all seriousness, I expect the other Epics to grow increasingly suspicious of a teleporter who doesn't go anywhere without his girlfriend (who, in fairness, is not someone I'd want to explore war-torn Portland without) and doesn't amuse himself by tormenting his servants.

I for one welcome this legal defense. :P

Are you ok if PP drags Funtimes and Nathan away for a minute Twi? I'm thinking that he might want their opinions given that they're the resident experts on insanity :P

That may have to wait, because I'm quite serious when I say there's raptor violence going on.

Don't worry, nothing too permanent. Lightwards spends all his time around lunatics and occasionally needs to vent a little...

Maw, I've read pages 18 - 20 3 times now, And I'm still not Certain all that's happening. Sightline just needs to kill Pisterlo, right? The other two are dead already?

What are you confused about? They all went in the store, except Flashpoint who's at Hq, VG and Al took on and killed Blowdart. Psy-Fi just finished off Boom and AM killed Duckcall. The other characters are doing their own thing. Pistolero is the only Epic left on the other side of this fight.

So there we have it. Lightwards goes through... shall we say, violent mood swings after a death. And they become more and more frequent with each passing mortality.

But I wouldn't worry too much about Purple Phoenix. A few bandages on that leg and it'll be good as new. And the raptor shouldn't be too hard to get rid of.

Hilarity ensues...? Or should I edit it to be a little less aggressive?

I should take this opportunity to point out that all of PP's explosives blew up in the fall so he's rather helpless right now.

He hurt someone Funtimes likes. Once she processes the fact that he mined the museum and isn't blaming her for taking control of him, she won't be happy with Lightwards. :P

With these things being the case, perhaps TwiLyght should go next, having Funtimes intervene?

'twould perhaps be the best, because his only alternative at this point is to threaten to blow up the museum.

This would only cause decapitation via Deinonychus foot. :P

I can do that. Any objections, Voidus?

I will brace myself for the Oncoming Storm. :D

Alright. I'll Go kill him then.

Also, I'm still in the Process of Catching up on the 15 pages you guys wrote over three days, And I noticed the Reckoner Discussion, where Twi mentioned I was using the Reckoners.

They aren't mine. But I am Using them. Dr. Pace is a Reckoner, and Kyle+Gordon do the odd jobs for them, and sell Information. Other thatn that, feel free to use them.

She's not THAT kind of Doctor, Kobold :D

And it sadly cannot turn shirts to gasoline. Even if I could, I'd opt for bacon. :P

I don't know what "that" kind of doctor is. Doctor who? :P

Shall I go next?

Actually I might have the protector make his first public appearance if nobody objects?
