Voidus Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Are we getting a Bacon x Revolution story anytime soon? A tale of tragic unrequited love? 1
Kobold King he/him Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Your decree has summoned TwiLyght the Shipmistress! Shadow Revolution ships coming up! Oh, who am I kidding. We all know I'll be refreshing this page until I see it. 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 31, 2014 Author Posted August 31, 2014 He had it in his hand, munching away as he directed them. Revolution tried not to eye Traveler's breakfast, but it compelled her. She had heard stories about bacon. Many listed it as their reason for not embracing vegetarianism, and she could see why. She could smell its salty aroma every time Traveler walked past. "Oh." He looked at her then, and she knew he had seen the longing on her face. He lifted it slightly. "You want some?" Revolution bit her lip. Funtimes had made that bacon. No pigs had died to put it on the table, and yet the last time it had been there, Fate had thought it better to keep her and bacon apart. But if he was offering, it would be rude to refuse him. Revolution nodded. "Be right back," Traveler said, and went to the kitchen. She waited. She waited until she heard a loud crash, Traveler's cry of surprise, and the blare of a tuba. "Think we should go help?" Sam whispered. The tuba was joined by a horse—an especially frightened one, if its whinnies were any indication. "It sounds like they need it," Revolution said, heading for the kitchen. Maybe, if everyone was distracted by the horse and tuba, she could grab a slice…. But when she reached the kitchen, Traveler stood there with an apologetic smile on his face. "False alarm." "It didn't sound like one." "Just a horse with an angry living tuba. They're gone now." "So's the bacon," Sam said, eyeing the plate. "Yeah. Sorry, Revolution. That tuba really wanted some bacon." "It's all right." Then she added: "I can't miss what I've never had, can I?" No one noticed the shadow slipping past the cottage. That night, Revolution lay awake, her rhyme recited and her blankets pulled to her chin. She watched shadows twisting against the wall, wondering— Wait. Shadows weren't supposed to do that. Revolution sat bolt upright as a shadow whipped past the window. I should call for Funtimes. Traveler. They'll take care of it. But the moment she reached the window, the shadow vanished. There was something on the ground. Revolution glanced over her shoulder, then at Sam's bed, before climbing out. The window frame didn't try to bite or claw at her nightgown, so she didn't stop until she reached the grass. The something was a plate filled with bacon, fully cooked and ready to eat. A note was attached. To the sweetest vanilla in Portland, I stole this from a tuba for you. Sorry it took so long. That tuba put up quite a fight. Enjoy, An admirer P.S.: My name is Penumbra, in case you're in town anytime soon. One date won't kill you. Revolution smiled. She didn't trust Epics, but maybe this one was telling the truth. 3

TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 Today he [soulSwitch] was spying on Corpsemaker. I kind of want to ship it now, but Lighthound turned out to be eye-gougingly horrifying, so I'll refrain. 1
Voidus Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 SoulSwitchxRaccoon?I am accepting name suggestions for the raccoon too, I couldn't think of any, but I want it to be more along the lines of a pet than his usual 1-use then discard animals.

I am accepting name suggestions for the raccoon too, I couldn't think of any, but I want it to be more along the lines of a pet than his usual 1-use then discard animals. Um….no. SoulSwitchXCorpseMaker. Heh. Now you see why I decided against shipping it.
Voidus Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I meant as an alternative ship to devote your compulsive shipping needs towards Shadow Revolution was an awesome ship btw. 1

Voidus Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Woo, Mrs. Voidus has finally finished Steelheart, she'll probably post up a bio sometime in the next couple of hours 2
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 CorpseMaker's alliance's name? Hmmmm... I'm open to suggetions. anyway, I'm having trouble finding Icons for Sightline and CorpseMaker. I've been looking for some sort of Evil Eye for CorpseMaker, and I don't know what to use for Sightline. A Kukri maybe? Does anyone have any better ideas? Also, I'll do a post in the next 3 hours for all my characters. @SoulSwitch: CorpseMaker is just going to be talking with the officers, plotting. They do have a lot of Information now.
Voidus Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Do you think SoulSwitch would be able to jump into Toymakers soldiers? If so that place would just be an absolute playground for him.Anyone have any suggestions for a powerset for Mrs. Voidus' character?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 You suggested a healer, or someone else did? And for Sightline….hm….he's tough. A kukri would work, but it doesn't quite sum up his character. (Read: It's not quite cool enough.) 1
Mrs. Voidus she/her Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Hey, I've been talking with Voidus about bringing in my character (having finally finished reading Steelheart - not sure why it took me so long) and we had a few ideas. I love the idea of a Yandere type close range object teleporter. So, being a little bit slightly insane, and obsessed with poisons, what would be everyone's thoughts on "Saccharin", the love crazed, poison injecting bakeaholic former biologist? 5
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) Welcome, Mrs. Voidus! Enjoy the insanity! I like that idea. Does she carry the poisons, or is it one of her powers? Edit: more importantly, what does she bake? Edited September 1, 2014 by TwiLyghtSansSparkles 2
Voidus Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 For ease of reference, my real name's Alex and Mrs. Voidus is Teagan. Welcome to the insanity! (And ponies, lots and lots of ponies) 1
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Do you think SoulSwitch would be able to jump into Toymakers soldiers? If so that place would just be an absolute playground for him. Um. Twi? What do you think? The soldiers are humanoid contstructs. Can SS take them?
Mrs. Voidus she/her Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I'm not sure... I originally wanted to turn things like sugar or fake sugar into poison as a power but Alex (Voidus) said you already are a transmuter - hence my name suggestion. But the image of Saccharin skipping through meadows to collect deadly plants and singing as she waltzes to her secret lair is too good to pass up, therefore she carries poisons. So power: teleportation of poisons secondary power (?) comand of cute animals mainly seen in Disney-esk film. Allowing for small armies of sparrows to fly around her head and attack peoples eyes, or to call forth snakes to milk them for their venom. As for what she bakes? Where do you think Voidus gets all those cookies from? 3
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 1, 2014 Author Posted September 1, 2014 Um. Twi? What do you think? The soldiers are humanoid contstructs. Can SS take them? Can he take over plants? If so, then yes, because the soldiers (like plants) are living but mindless. If not, then no.
Voidus Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Technically he could but he could run into problems, I think he'd be able to take them over but he'd still be bound to obey orders, so he could use them to gain information from what they see/hear but he couldn't really control them. 1

(Also, I hope you don't have any objections to shipping, because once I see her in action, she WILL be shipped. ) 2
