Voidus Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 NightHound might not want to throw too many grenades at a museum that has been rigged to blow up 1
Kobold King he/him Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I am a fan of Nightmare, Panacea, and all the beasties up for adoption at Chimera's Animal Clinic. Am I the only one who really really really wants to visit Las Funtimes? Yes, but I would like to read about your visit from the safety of my living room. NightHound might not want to throw too many grenades at a museum that has been rigged to blow up Make no mistake, Lightwards will have words with him over this. Theoretical question: if Slaughterhouse altered a guy's anatomy so he now had wings coming out of his back or a third eye in his forehead, could Panacea heal him? 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Theoretical question: if Slaughterhouse altered a guy's anatomy so he now had wings coming out of his back or a third eye in his forehead, could Panacea heal him? Depends. Did Slaughterhouse inflict damage to the victim to create that modification, and does it cause them pain?
Kobold King he/him Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Depends. Did Slaughterhouse inflict damage to the victim to create that modification, and does it cause them pain? His alterations are immensely painful during their installation, and often cause pain to the target long afterwards. (Unless it's a minor change like skin or eye color.) It's hard to say whether he actually causes damage to his victims, because he essentially turns their flesh into an easily shaped clay-like fluid. Finished additions like wings have more in common with scar tissue than natural limbs, however, even if they are functional. Slaughterhouse would not be pleased with anyone who made a habit of "vandalizing" his artwork. 2

Slaughterhouse would not be pleased with anyone who made a habit of "vandalizing" his artwork. If it causes pain, I would classify it as an injury. The way he does it sounds like extremely mean-spirited and unethical surgery. It also sounds extremely creepy and I want to let Remington in on his weakness, give him a rifle, and tell him to go to town. His "artwork" would make her eye twitch and fill her with an irresistible desire--no, a NEED--to fix it and bring his victims back to their natural beauty. How soon can we get a Panacea/Slaughterhouse fight arranged? 3

His "artwork" would make her eye twitch and fill her with an irresistible desire--no, a NEED--to fix it and bring his victims back to their natural beauty. How soon can we get a Panacea/Slaughterhouse fight arranged? Well, Slaughterhouse was a mean-spirited and unethical plastic surgeon before Calamity. Sending Remington to take him out is a pleasant idea, but there's really no conceivable way for him to set off SH's weakness. A man as despicable as Slaughterhouse doesn't live as long as he has unless his weakness is really darn hard to exploit. As for a Panacea-Slaughterhouse fight... well, I believe the players in Oregon have collectively put their hooves down and declared SH isn't allowed in, so I guess the soonest possible date is October 1st. I demand that Mobius makes this at once. Möbius takes orders from no one... but in this case, she might be on the same side as you. 2
Voidus Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 What did you want to do with the hypnotism scene Kobold? Just skip over it, or has your googlmancy yielded results

Kobold King he/him Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 He's done it before.... GASP His weakness was cryptic hints! How did you figure it out so quickly? What did you want to do with the hypnotism scene Kobold? Just skip over it, or has your googlmancy yielded results I may have conspired with [DATA EXPUNGED] for scene specifics. Kobold King he/him Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 *glares suspiciously* Why is everyone having secret conversations! It's definitely not so we can all gang up on Phoenix and mob-lynch him right outside the Portland Postal Office, if that's what you're implying! 1

Don't worry, Voidus. Funtimes will protect that magnificent beard of a man... ....by any means necessary. 2
Voidus Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Don't worry, Voidus. Funtimes will protect that magnificent beard of a man... ....by any means necessary. Oh that reminds me, don't forget you'll be receiving a letter once you all arrive in Oregon. 1
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Oh that reminds me, don't forget you'll be receiving a letter once you all arrive in Oregon. Yes. Once she gets to Portland, I will have her get the letter.
Voidus Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I think I'll put Synesthesia forward for our halloween RP, she makes her own dramatic theme music 2
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 (edited) So We're making Halloween Epics Now? Alright then. Mindrip Name: Mindrip Former Name: Only Humans have names before they become Epics. Primary Power: Mindripping. Makes a Complete Copy of Targets Memories, and understands them as well. Secondary Power: Shapechanging. It can appear as any Physical Object. Teretiary Power: Regeneration and Healing Touch. M.O.: Chooses a Target and Mindrips them. It takes on the Physical form of of a Loved one, and Lures the Target away. It then Tortures the Target to the bringk of death, and heals it. It repeats this several times, before letting the victim escape to their Family. a few days later, it repeats this exercise while wearing the shape of a different loved one. Voidus, should I have Aldo enter follow Phoenix into his habitation and begin the hypnosis, or do you need another post before we can begin? 2
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted September 5, 2014 Author Posted September 5, 2014 Okay, so the basic plot if the Halloween RP is that someone is driving Möbius insane. But my character died two years before the main RP began, and one of Joe's terrifying characters didn't come into being until after the main RP began. What if, in her distress, Möbius' powers went haywire, allowing her to bend time just long enough to pull the Epics she thought would be able to help her out of their respective time streams? I mean, there are theorists who say black holes might be portals through time, so I think it could work. 2
Mailliw73 he/him Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Night-Mare's full bio is in the Epics in Oregon thread. Twi and Voidus, how do you want to introduce these new characters?
Voidus Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 I think that the rule of cool applies here Twi

I mean, there are theorists who say black holes might be portals through time, so I think it could work. Hmm... I like it. It adds a neat timey-wimey element while fitting the characters into a greater context. I'd never considered time travel to be a potential Epic capability, but if certain physicists are correct, space and time really are intimately connected, then Möbius might just be able to make it work. Perhaps Möbius in her state of madness deliberately chose some of the most unstable, dangerous Epics she could find as a way of striking back against the mental Epic. After all, if there's one sure way to get someone killed, it's by trapping him in a winding pocket dimension filled with the roleplay's most terrifying characters.
