Frustration Posted February 7, 2023 Posted February 7, 2023 So I was studying body focuses, and I couldn't help but think of Shardblades. The body focuses are: Inhalation, Exhalation, the soul, eyes, hair, blood, oil, nails, bone, and flesh. And we know shardblades have an interesting reaction with most of these. They sever the soul, burn eyes, can cut hair and nails, without the subject being dead, turn flesh grey, instantly kill when they cut the spine and(maybe) sever limbs when they pass through the bone. So, that leads to the conclusion that they do something interactions with blood, oil, and the lungs, but what those are I cannot guess.

Blood is the most interesting to me because Hemalurgy rules imply Blood might allow access to the spiritual without needing the special Shardblade properties, but being fluid and in constant flow throughout the body means it wouldnt have as specific a target location in the spiritweb as the Shardblade cut would normally provide. Maybe it would do odd things depending on whether it entered through a valid Bind Point? Oil would likely behave similar to Hair and Nails, on the assumption that the most common Human Oil perceived by the relevant population would be external bodily oils like skin and hair, etc. rather than something that could be rendered out of us.
