Rayvyn covered her face with her hands, the sleeves of her cloak falling to reveal the matching bandages on her wrists. "He's scared of everything!" She looks at Marilyn. "I can swear oaths too, if it helps. We could all swear oaths to protect him to the best of our abilities."

The man shook his head. "I don't think any of you are capable of protecting him. There are several forces trying to get to him, and exploit him."

Got to go for about 20 minutes, sorry.

I should probably go too, but first... very cheesy dramatic speech, because I can.

Rayvyn looked him in the eye. "Perhaps not alone, but together, we can do far more than anyone would expect."

Marilyn rolled her eyes. Rayvyn is right but the way it was delivered felt a little over the top to her. "I agree with her. I think the best way to make sure that happens is to still swear oath or make a vow of some kind that way we can hold each other accountable."

I should also go. I need to sleep or people won't be very happy with me in the morning.

Spoiler

Archivist really did just log on and decide to be the first plot point.

"Icona?"

Honestly. You should've asked sooner.

A wave of force washed over the hallway. The rooms seemed to vanish from around them, replacing the scenery with an infinite plane of white.

"Can everyone," Fadran said, "just shut for a moment?"

Was not my original intention. This should be over soon, for now, anyway. Theoretically.

Plus, didn't you say that you just waited for stuff to happen?

"Woah," Cufre said. "That's... something."

The man grunted in annoyance. "What now?"

"Yelling has, as you might imagine, gotten us nowhere." Fadran glanced back at the little lad. "Not to mention you've been scaring the poor kid. How's about instead of pointing fingers we talk about it reasonably like reasonable people?"

"Fine. You start. Who do you believe?"

Rayvyn rolls her eyes. "Because this will work so much better," she mutters quietly.

"Your information seems more inconsistent at present. If I had to pick one, Cufre."

"What do you mean by inconsistent? I've made my motivations clear."

Klave glanced at Pyro, then nodded. "Go ahead."

Sorry, I didn’t notice that you had left the kitchen when I said that I wanted to do a demonstration. I posted that thinking that you were in the kitchen as well, so how about we wait until you come back to the kitchen for the demonstration?

Yes he was. Both Cufre and Tacien were in the rom together before Fadran went to talk to them.

There's so much stuff going on now, it's unnaturally easy to get confused. This might actually be more confusing than being productive like I'm supposed to be.

Rayvyn settles down to wait through the argument.

Sorry for the confusion, I should get better at being clear with this stuff.

Cufre hasn't done anything wrong, but the other man is trying to convince them that he did so he can take Tacien.

"Really?" Rayvyn asks. "I'd like a very detailed list of the others. I can provide you with my own list, if you want to trade!"

Rayvyn is a really inconsistent, not completely sane character, if you haven't noticed. You're usually safe to ignore her. Usually.
