I see we have another Ruin's Champion to face...

This was pretty fun, and I did my best to stay up to speed with things after I died. Unfortunately the Elims didn't succeed in getting Swan N4, or they would have finished murdering the "PMing Spree" trust quartet of Dingo/Tuatara/Meerkat/Swan with utmost efficiency.

(Also for those living, no, I did not talk in the entire doc like this. That would have given even me too much of a headache.)

Hello JNV.

Tyrian Falls has never been conquered by spiked since AG8, the curse has been flipped on it's head >:D

Only a two game trend, but yeah, can't wait to be a villager in an AG. Have I ever? I'll have to go check.

Three! You forget LG90!

Ah, true.

And apparently I was Village last AG, but I've been elim on a lot of ANs I think.

"I confess I did not expect the game to be concluding today," Willam said, "though a good game to all. I had a speedy death, but all is well.

"I'll save further thoughts for the second aftermath, but I will mention that I spent the first half of the elim doc thinking blue was Flamingo and red was the Obli-gator. The latter mentioned hockey which set my sights straight, but it was a confusing bit there for a second. I also think that doc clarified a certain identity for me, Kjell :P

"...I don't think I actually bought your assertion on that particular player. Not really. I'd have been surprised if it were the case, at least. But now I'm almost sure it's not. This will certainly just come back to bite me later, but again, all is well.

"To anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about... it's a long story."

Would I ever lie to you?

Me???

Does a meerkat face this cute hugging an emotional support salmon ever aggressively lie about the identities of various assorted players both blatantly and willfully???

I was hoping Falcon would die and the game would keep going. Threads are so much easier to read when they're sans sheriff.

Good game, all! Especially the elims who carried on without me. We nearly achieved our goal.

And besides stealing Meerkat's salmon we also nearly won the game! But that's secondary.

Thanks to the GMs, IM. I had fun.

We did!

AG8 wasn't a fluke! Or a flounder. Or a mackerel. Studies have shown that it was, in fact, an SE game and not a fish.

Darn right! Mission accomplished :).

Ah yes, the spiritual successor to sans serif :P.

I was only in the game for, what, 2 day turns? (Admittedly 3.5 night turns.) Not very long in the grand scheme of things, before getting dusted off. Well, hopefully the previous Charcoal Hyena approves of what I did with the time. Which, if I'm being honest, was mostly to make funny PMs while putting off rereading the previous cycles. And occasionally voting for a different spiked than the one who was getting bandwagonned into oblivion at the time, for diversity's sake.

Honestly, pinch-hitting is fun. Maybe I should do it more often.

In any case, good game, all :).

Salmon theft is a crime under Section 420 of the Tyrian Penal Code.

Smh I never lied to you!

I was completely honest!

That sounds like an admission that you lied to other people though doesn't it >:(.

Technically, you never actually talked to me in-game, although due to the extensive PM I inherited between you and the previous Charcoal Hyena, it feels like we have spoken :P.

If you didn't lie to anyone else, then riddle me this: how do you explain the fact that everyone thinks you're Kasimir, huh? I know for a fact that you're really Kjell.

I will point out I was careful with my words to Croc though I did shade into outright lying at points. On the off-chance he was Village, I wanted to have told him things that were mostly true, so I Aes Sedai-ed a lot.

It was a inter-temporal collaboration on our part >:P

I've told them all I'm Kjell. It's not my problem SE players aren't good at listening to what they're told >:P

Is there some other situation on your mind where this is happening? >:P

Say, hypothetically, you warned people not to do something and they're doing it anyway? >:P

Why would there be...?

Dunno sir, you sure you're not thinking about something you said?

Dunno sir, but it occurs to me that phrasing everything as a question to avoid technically lying is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

I've got to remember me that one for the next time there's a KKC game...

My suggestion is to try counterfactuals and then when the GMs @ you, direct them to my grand-supervisor Alan Hajek's persuasive paper about how most ordinary counterfactuals in fact evaluate as false, therefore everything you say is a lie.

:eyes:

I suppose the alternative is that you lie about everything, so the linguist scan of whether you're lying is functionally useless.

This is true, but it is also a valid strategy when you are confused about what something has to do with you :P

I also recommend avoidance of a direct answer, letting people draw their own conclusions, and if they say you are a Seeker, say, "It is you who say I am," or otherwise imply you are allergic to giving a direct answer to that question.

I've not played KKC though so I dunno if lying by omission or misdirection counts then you are SoL I guess.
