Off-World Singer Forms and Spren Bonding [Discuss]

Assuming that a singer worldhopped to another planet and was able to bring a non-Radiant, form-granting spren with them (let's say the spren is captured in a gemstone to make thing simpler), and they wanted to change their form by bonding that spren, how do you figure they'd go about that? From what we've seen, it seems like it has to be done using one of the storms as a catalyst, but what are the important pieces there? Is it simply necessary that the singer have access to a lot of raw investiture floating around to fuel the change? If so, could a singer draw on the Mists to change form? Is it the fact that a Highstorm (and potentially the Everstorm as well) pulls the three realms closer together that makes it possible for singers to form or break their bonds with lesser spren? If so, could a singer change forms by standing close enough to another perpendicularity?

I checked if there were any WoB specifically talking about the mechanics of how singers change forms, but wasn't able to find much.

Well now I want to see what form a Skaze or Seon would give a singer. I'd imagine something suitably dramatic...and also probably have a regional effect to boot.

So a Singer would need to take a bath in one to make it work.

I'm pretty sure that you could only do this if Preservation/Harmony wanted you to do this, it doesn't seem that just anyone can draw upon the Mists for anything.

 

I'm now wondering if a Singer could fuel the transformation by gaining a ton of Breath and using that to change Forms when they want, would probably be a huge waste of Breath but a free quick-change to another Form might save a Singers life.

they would only consume the breaths if the transformation consumes Investiture.

 

Maybe the reason they singer needs to be closer to the Cognitive and Spiritual is so that they can "edit" their Spiritweb easier.

I don't have the books with me to check, but doesn't the Stormfather play a role in the transformation? I feel like I remember him asking Eshonai if she was sure she wanted it. That could just be me conflating that with something else though.

I remember that he asked her is she is sure when she transformed into stormform. He did not appear in other transformation.

It seems more that since the transformation is within the highstorm, the stromfather can speak with the listeners but he is not necessery for the procces.

I think all of the other transformations that we have seen happened in the Everstorm didn't they? In that case I would assume that Odium or one of the Unmade was the intermediary. Maybe Bo Ado Mishram given its connection to the singers being forced into dull form.

We saw eshonai transform into warform in the highstorm.

No, that’s when she‘s changing into stormform I‘m pretty sure.
