Question

So...  After stumbling on the coppermind depictions on the vairous Aons, and seeing their symmetry, I wonder if they have anything to do with the shapes of the various cities on Roshar and the shattering of the Plains.  It was just a thought I had while killing time at work.

Shape of Aons is directly tied to geographical features of Arelon.

So there's no reason cities on Roshar would be linked to them. BTW we know that Dawncities are based upon cymatic patterns.

Well, I really don't think Devotion and Dominion had anything to do with the forming of Roshar, and it really wouldn't make sense for the cities to be related to AonDor. I suppose some shards could be inspired and take other shards ideas, a bit like how Scadrian humans are modeled after the ones Adonalsium created. But I think at the very most, one shard took inspiration from another, and I doubt that is even the case. While things can have parallels in the Cosmere, some things are coincidences. It's what makes the universe feel real. If everything was connected super closely, it wouldn't feel so alive.

I don't know for sure about this, but I think Devotion and Dominion were Splintered by the time Roshar was formed, so they couldn't have helped make Roshar. I think it is just a coincidence. You can probably acess the Dor from Roshar (Dakhor powers maybe, Chay-Shan, etc.) but not use AonDor specifically.
