A Trope Idea

I feel like I have heard a similar idea to this, though I have thought up a trope where everyone else left on earth has a pasueatronic brain and is immortal. You would be the only one to feel true emotions. It's almost the reverse of Star Trek, where Data (an andriod) is lonely in a sense that he cannot feel, nor display true laughter and wants to become more humanoid.

Maybe you could do something where somebody wakes up from a cryosleep and finds the world diferent in that nobody shows emotion. He is confused and seeks answers and eventually learns that earth was conquered by another species and the emotionless beings that he had took for humans, had actually killed all the humans exept him.

Interesting idea; I'll take it into consideration.

P.s. These stories/books that I am creating are never going to see the light of day and I don't mind if anyone takes this trope idea.
