One in a long line, I fear, of illustrations done by an artist who has not read the work.  (To be fair, if you're a professional artist, you may have neither the time nor the inclination to read all the books you do art for.)

Adolin was my first guess as well, based on how pretty he is... but that sure doesn't look like the "tiny, distant sun" of Shadesmar to me.

3- His hair is two different colors (Adolin's hair is blond and black)

4- He is young and does not look awkward or like a soldier... (No shash glyph either)

As large as you think the sun looks, the crystal trees around the top of the cover are a dead giveaway it's in shadesmar.

That made me think, that same sun is on all the covers. What is it's not a sun at all, but rather represents either Ashyn, or one of the moons,

I know none of the moons are red, but what if one of the moons turns red as Odium corrupts it, since we know red means corrupted investiture?

That has to be Adolin. The streaked hair colour, uniform and the heroic pose give it away.
