Voidspren bonded by the Regals, right, okay. I'll RAFO that for now. I haven't gotten into the mechanics of the Regals nearly as much as I want to eventually get into it.

Let's just say something weird is happening to make deadeyes. They didn't exist before the Recreance. There should be a relationship here that reminds you of something else you've seen in the Cosmere.

When people were hit by the Shaod, their seons changed. They went to sleep, kind of. They became mostly unresponsive.

When Knights broke their oaths, their spren changed. Pattern I think? said it took longer to summon dead spren because you had to revive them each time.

Deadeyes spren don't do much. They're mostly unresponsive.

Are they in the same kind of stasis?

I do wonder, what happens to awakened objects if the person who awakened them dies? Does the investiture go away? Is it awakened forever?

Shashara was the one who Awakened Nightblood, and she is long dead, so...
