Using Emotional Allomancy to Trick the Shard of Odium?

In order to pick up a Shard once its previous owner has either been killed or has released it, you need be congruent enough with the power for it to let you pick it up. So, if a Rioter Misting or a Mistborn were to enhance your emotions while the Shard of Odium was without a vessel, would that be enough to trick it into letting you pick it up?

I wouldn't think this would work. You don't just need to be congruent, you need to have Connection. That's why Kelsier needs the orb from the Ire in M:SH. Influencing your emotions doesn't form connections, just influences your frame of mind.

I think not, given that in the moment prior to ascension the subject cuts off all relationship with the outside (sazed is not burned by the sun's rays) any Allomantic influence would also (supposedly) be cut off.
